The food was absolutely amazing! I had the 12oz Wagyu NY Strip [which melted in your mouth] with peppercorn sauce and a cool-crisp-delicious Caesars salad. The service was good and the view spectacular! I sat on the rotating platform by the window, which does require a $29 deposit to reserve; reservations are required and there is a dress code (business casual). I would definitely come back! A+++

The only thing going for this place, in my opinion, is the view. The food is way over priced for what you get! Also DO NOT get their picture package they offer. Worst pictures ever, I lie to you not! She amputated my hand on almost every picture, out of focus and even though she captured The Sphere in the back drop, all it was, was a blob of light. We were moderately intoxicated when we purchased the photo package, but once we sobered up, we were so disappointed. The photographer also lied to us about what digital frames were included in our purchase. We actually filled a complaint with our credit card company for services. Also the pictures included were from my phone, not what she took

Here’s a rave review: If you want one of the most unforgettable dining experiences in Vegas, Top of the World is absolutely it. The restaurant itself is already an experience before the food even arrives—rotating slowly high above the Strip, giving you constantly shifting panoramic views of the entire city. It’s the kind of setting that makes everything feel a little more special. The vibe is elevated and dramatic in the best way: sleek, upscale, and designed to let the view do a lot of the talking. Watching the Strip light up as you rotate is genuinely one of those “this is Vegas” moments. What really stood out for me was how well they handled vegetarian options. I went in expecting limited choices (it is a steakhouse-heavy menu), but they were surprisingly accommodating. The staff made sure I had thoughtful vegetarian dishes instead of just basic sides, and everything was plated beautifully and felt intentional—not like an afterthought. The food overall is solid fine dining—refined, well-executed, and clearly built for a high-end experience. But honestly, the real star is the combination of the food *and* the view working together. It turns dinner into something you remember long after you leave. Service is polished and attentive without feeling stiff. They keep everything moving smoothly, but still make you feel taken care of, especially when it comes to dietary needs. Top of the World is one of those Vegas spots that’s less about just eating and more about the full experience—height, motion, lights, skyline, and a meal that matches the setting. And with vegetarian accommodations done right, it makes it even easier to fully enjoy it.

The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower sits at the north end of the Las Vegas Strip, close to Sahara Avenue and just a short distance from Downtown and Fremont Street. Its location makes it a convenient stop for visitors exploring both the Strip and the older downtown district. The tower is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Las Vegas, offering panoramic views of the entire valley. Dining at the STRAT is a highlight, especially the Top of the World restaurant on the 106th floor. This rotating restaurant completes a full 360-degree turn every 80 minutes and is known for its steaks, seafood, and extensive wine list, though it does require a minimum spend. For a more casual experience, 108 Eats and 108 Drinks on the observation levels offer quick bites and cocktails with sweeping views. The best time to visit the tower is around sunset arriving 30–45 minutes early lets you enjoy daylight views, the sunset, and the transition to sparkling night lights. For a quieter experience, early morning when the deck opens at 10 AM or very late at night are ideal. The Observation Deck typically operates daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 AM

Our experience at Top of the World Restaurant at The STRAT Hotel was overall mixed, with some clear highlights and some equally noticeable downsides. Since the upper floor was closed, we were seated on the inner rotating section. Even so, the views were still great. It was genuinely fun spotting familiar parts of Las Vegas along with areas we hadn’t noticed before—this is definitely where the restaurant shines. Service was a strong point. Our server was wonderful, offered great recommendations, and was very accommodating throughout the meal. The drinks were phenomenal and easily one of the standout parts of the experience. The food, however, did not match the price point. While it was decent overall, it fell below what you would expect given the level of dining competition in Las Vegas. Yes, it was better than Olive Garden, but not close to places like Don’s Prime. The bread served at the table was excellent, but the salmon was disappointing—more of something we felt obligated to finish given the price rather than something we enjoyed. The steak was average: better than a home-cooked meal, but not on par with other high-end restaurants in the city. On a positive note, the deconstructed brulee cheesecake was a creative twist and genuinely delicious. Ultimately, you are paying for the experience and the view—not the food. Unfortunately, even that experience was diminished by nearby staff conversations that were clearly audible during dinner. Hearing employees openly vent about coworkers—including complaints about someone frequently calling off and taking random days off—took away from what should have been a relaxed atmosphere. For a $360 dinner for two, a peaceful dining experience should be a given. While the views were memorable, the overall experience was not. We’ll remember the scenery, but not much else. This is not a place we would return to.
