We had dinner on Saturday. Had a reservation at 6 PM. We couldn't get a table by the window because they were taken by the people with 5 PM reservations. We were told we had to wait around 1 hour.
The dinner was amazing, we had the pasta with lamb, the pasta with short rib and the veal. Enough for me, my wife and my kid. I had a Negroni, my wife a Margarita, they were both amazing.
We also shared a half bottle of very good Ripasso. Nice to see they have half bottle here. We've seen them in Italy, but not in the USA.
The sommelier was great, very attentive person. Chatted a bit with us, turns out he's from Broward originally, close to home for us.
For dessert we had the budino, it was incredible.

A nice selection of Italian options. Jason and his team take this spot with a view to the next level. Strip pricing, as expected combined with a fun chill experience for you and your guests. While it feels like a full time job trying all the available restaurants here in Vegas I would circle back here and bring visitors.

The food is good, but the service and broader setup ruined the meal… I’ve never posted a 3-star review before so I had to sleep on this before sharing.
Group of ten guys in Vegas for March Madness with some of our local friends who live in Summerlin. Restaurant was packed which may have contributed to the bad experience.
1. It took 10 minutes after we sat down for someone to take our drink order, then we waited another 10 minutes for 7 of the 10 drinks come out. I ask the server for the other 3 drinks, wait another 10 minutes, 2 more drinks come out. Last drink comes out midway through apps. Main courses were served 2-3 at a time until everyone got their dishes. Not sure why they couldn’t have had multiple servers bring all the mains at once or do two trips maximum… never seen it staggered before at a nice restaurant.
2. They sat us at a long table in front of their very beautiful glass wine cellar. EVERY few minutes (20+ times during the meal) a waiter or captain would ask to get by our table to open the cellar and get a bottle of wine for one of the other tables. Felt like we were inconveniencing them by being there and it just disrupted the flow of our conversations.
3. The food is pretty good all things considered… the bread service is delicious, I had a perfectly cooked piece of sea bass, and everyone generally liked their pastas/meats. Some of the salads or apps were unremarkable but overall the food was good.
I pushed for Scarpetta over other similar restaurants (e.g., Carbone) because I heard good things, but everyone in our group was mad at me afterwards

Lovely Italian spot inside the Cosmopolitan that works just as well for a team dinner as it does for a romantic night out. The vibe strikes that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable.
We ordered the calamari, arancini, spaghetti Scarpetta, and bomboloni—and honestly, you can’t go wrong with this lineup. Everything was delicious, comforting, and exactly what you want after a long, exhausting day at a conference. The spaghetti Scarpetta in particular is a must-order if you love a great, simple pasta done right.
Definitely worth leaning into the carb coma here.
Scarpetta offers an earthy yet modern approach to Italian cuisine with a soulful menu inspired by seasonal ingredients.
