We tried Prince Street Pizza on a Friday evening with our family of five. Overall, the pizza was just okay, not bad, but definitely not something I would go out of my way for.
The biggest issue for us was the service. If you enjoy a strong East Coast style attitude, this might not bother you, but it really impacted our experience. We ordered several slices with different flavors, and while the selection looked good, there were some frustrating moments.
I was hoping to get a vegan slice since I cannot have cheese, but even though it is listed on the menu, they did not have any available. That was disappointing.
Then, my son ordered a margherita slice, but the piece we were given had no basil, which is kind of the defining ingredient. I politely asked if we could have a slice that actually included basil, and the response was simply, “we do not add toppings.” I clarified that I was not asking for anything extra, just one of the other slices already available, but got no response. They just heated up the same basil less slice and handed it to us.
Since pizza was not really an option for me, I ordered the chopped salad, the most expensive item we got, more than two slices of pizza. Unfortunately, it was very underwhelming, small portion, nothing special, and definitely not worth the price. I was still hungry afterward and ended up making myself a sandwich at home.
Between the mediocre food and the poor service, this is not a place I would return to or recommend. In an area with so many great dining options, it just does not make sense to go somewhere that does not seem to value its customers.
