  We tried the teppanyaki at Mizumi and found the price to be on the high side for the experience. We were quickly seated at 7:30PM but they didn't start taking orders until 8PM as they only had 2 chefs working on a Friday night. Your experience largely depends on the chef as ours was straight to the point and moved quickly to get the vegetables, riced, and meats out without much engagement. The chef joked that he was from Benihana, but then realized he wasn't joking because each thing he did was straight from Benihana playbook. While Mizumi has an amazing view looking out the windows the teppanyaki seating looks inward so your back is facing the amazing view of the mountain/waterfall outside the windows. The appetizers, meats, and dessert were all good although the 5 people we shared the table with complained that there was too much oil being used and they didn't like the fried rice (can't make everyone happy). Overall the teppanyaki experience felt lacking considering it came out to a $400 meal for two people and we could have had a great meal elsewhere.

  Mizumi Las Vegas was a beautiful dining experience, especially since we got seated by the waterfall window. That made the whole dinner feel a lot more special, and the ambiance was definitely one of the highlights. It felt stylish, romantic, and upscale, and since we were staying at Encore, it made sense for us to dine there. The presentation of the food and drinks really stood out. Everything looked elegant and well thought out, and the cocktails were especially pretty. We ordered a variety of dishes, and I would definitely go back for the sushi. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I would probably skip the wagyu fried rice next time. The wagyu itself tasted good, but the fried rice had a slightly burnt taste that took away from the dish. Service was solid, and overall the experience felt polished. Mizumi is a good choice if you want a nice upscale dinner in Vegas, especially for the atmosphere and setting. For me, the sushi and the overall ambiance were the standout parts of the experience.

  Mizumi at the Wynn delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Heather took care of me, and she was exceptional—genuinely personable, dialed in, and clearly passionate about what she was serving. She didn’t just take an order, she guided the entire experience. Every recommendation she made hit perfectly. Chef Ramsey’s dishes came out one after another, and each one somehow topped the last. It was one of those meals where you take a bite and just sit there for a second because it’s that good—over and over again. The standout, without question, was the Black Sesame Binchotan dessert paired with the Umeshu sake. That combination was unreal. Bite, sip, repeat… and it just kept getting better. Easily one of the best dessert pairings I’ve ever had. Everything—from the food to the service to the pacing—felt intentional and elevated without ever feeling forced. If you’re going to Mizumi, trust Heather and let her guide you. That’s the move.

  Mizumi at Wynn Las Vegas was absolutely exceptional. The food was amazing, we truly loved everything we ordered. The crispy tuna rice cake was a standout, the scallop tataki and crispy shrimp roll were fresh and full of flavor, and the miso soup was hands down the best we’ve ever had. We also had the shrimp and vegetable tempura, the shrimp was excellent, while the vegetables could have used a bit more batter, but it was still very enjoyable. Each dish was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. Being seated by the waterfall was chef’s kiss and made the ambiance feel even more serene and luxurious. This was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Vegas.

  I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience because Mizumi genuinely used to be a place I loved and recommended to friends and family for years. Based on past visits, my expectations were high, and unfortunately the evening fell well short on every front. The service was curt and unfriendly from start to finish. Our server never once acknowledged us when we said thank you. Even more frustrating was the relentless pacing. Plates were cleared almost the moment we put down our chopsticks, and at one point my tempura was removed before I had even finished eating it. It felt less like hospitality and more like being processed. The food was equally disappointing. The udon was noticeably under-seasoned, the tempura was inconsistent (one piece overly salty, another fine), and the sashimi platter I had been looking forward to was completely unremarkable. Previous visits had set a high bar, and this one didn't come close. We left feeling unwelcome and genuinely upset. We had made the trip from LA for a special occasion and the experience wasn't worthy of what we spent. I reached out to the restaurant directly the day after, hoping for some acknowledgment or accountability. The response I received was meek at best, which is part of why I'm leaving this review. I hope management takes this seriously, because the Mizumi I remembered was so much better than what we experienced that night. But honestly, it’s not worthy of your money or time if the service and food you get is what I received.
