If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Las Vegas, look no further than Strip House…and don’t let the name fool you if you’re thinking of bringing the family, because this place absolutely delivers on all fronts.
We visited on January 17th to celebrate my son’s 6th birthday, and from the moment we walked in, the entire team made us feel like we were the most important guests in the room. We didn’t have a reservation, but that didn’t matter one bit. Maribel, the hostess, worked her magic and seated us at what I can only describe as the best seat in the house. Even more touching, she presented my son with a beautifully handwritten birthday greeting that he absolutely lit up over. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that set the tone for the entire evening.
Our server, Teyonce (I hope I’m spelling that right!), was phenomenal. Warm, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about making our son’s birthday special. He checked every box and then some. At one point, Shyla, the restaurant manager also came by to personally wish our son a happy birthday. It truly felt like a full-team effort to make our night magical, and it worked.
Now, the food: We shared the New York strip, which was cooked to absolute perfection - tender, flavorful, and exactly what you’d hope for from a world-class steakhouse. The lobster tail was equally impressive: rich, buttery, and beautifully prepared. Every bite felt indulgent in the best possible way.
And for the little birthday boy? Strip House has a “secret” kids menu item (chicken strips and fries) that my son declared the best he’s ever had. High praise from a newly minted 6-year-old!
I’d be remiss not to mention their Barrel-Aged Old Fashioned, which was hands down one of the best old fashioneds I’ve ever had. Smooth, complex, and perfectly balanced. It was the ideal complement to an already outstanding meal.
LASTLY, The team brought out a showstopping slice of chocolate cake for my son’s birthday. The kind of decadent, towering chocolate creation that would make Bruce Bogtrotter from the movie Matilda proud. It was the perfect grand finale to an incredible evening.
Despite its sophisticated atmosphere, Strip House was completely welcoming to our family. The ambiance is upscale and dramatic in the best Las Vegas way, but the staff never made us feel out of place with a child in tow. Quite the opposite - they embraced it.
This dinner will be one our family talks about for years to come. Five stars, without question. Thank you to Teyonce, Maribel, Shyla, and the entire Strip House team for making our son’s birthday so incredibly special. We will absolutely be back.
