When I called, they apologized and told me to come back another day for a replacement. So today I did exactly that. I placed my order, waited about 20 minutes, and when I finally went up to check, they admitted they hadn’t even started making it yet. When I finally received the salad, it was thrown together carelessly with no cheese — completely wrong again. I called the manager over (his name sounded like “Zakarah”), and asked politely if he could just issue a credit for another time since it’s clearly been difficult to get the order right. He refused and told me, “You have to take it like it is. I can get you a container of cheese to put on it. I’m not doing anything for you.” I only wanted to come back another day when there was different staff back there or go to another Panera location. I certainly hope that a manager over his head will see this. This is the only way that businesses know that they’re not doing well in Customer Service.. I was honestly shocked. In a time when businesses are fighting to keep customers, this kind of treatment is unbelievable. I didn’t ask for anything I didn’t pay for — just a properly made order and a little courtesy.
