I ordered a 1/4 sheet cake online with a very special graphic that I designed. I had some special requests that were responded to very quickly and easily during the process. The cake came out absolutely PERFECT in every way and was delicious! I highly recommend Freed’s as they obviously care about their customer satisfaction, they are more reasonable than some other specialty cake makers in Vegas, and they are consistent. Thanks Freeds!

A Disappointing Change of Heart Let me start by saying that I went to Freed’s Bakery for many years and have always found it to be an exceptional bakery. However, I’ve recently found myself deeply disappointed, not with the staff or the quality of the baked goods, but with what I experienced as the heart behind the business. I am a hospice chaplain in Las Vegas, Nevada. I visit hospice patients who are terminally ill and dying, many of whom are low income individuals living in very difficult circumstances. Many have no family or friends, and if they do, they rarely visit. Often, I am the only person who comes to see them. At one point, I felt led to begin bringing each patient cookies from Freed’s Bakery during my visits. I quickly realized that for many of them, those cookies became the highlight of their day. They would light up, smile, and ask, “Do you have cookies?” For context, I typically get two to three small bags of cookies, each containing six cookies, about three to four times a week. It was never a large quantity. One day, while I was in Freed’s, someone with authority, I am intentionally leaving names out as this is not about any individual, asked me why I was in so frequently getting cookies. I shared everything I’ve written here. They were incredibly kind and told me I would no longer have to pay for the cookies, given what they were being used for. I was very thankful and shared with my patients that the cookies were a gift from Freed’s. Recently, however, I went in to get a few bags of cookies and was informed that they would no longer be donating them. I told the employee that it was okay and that I would continue to get the cookies myself, which I fully intend to do. To be clear, this was never something I asked for. It was offered, and it continued for several months before being discontinued. My disappointment is not directed toward any individual or toward the product itself. It is simply about the heart behind the decision. Quite honestly, I don’t understand how something like this can be started and then abruptly stopped. I will continue getting cookies for my patients regardless and I just felt it was important to share my experience.

Freed's Bakery did an amazing job for a bridal shower. I ordered cupcakes in a bouquet design in the bride's wedding colors. They were delicious, ,and the delivery was perfect on a busy night for the Vegas Strip. Would absolutely recomment 100%

We’ve been customers of Freeds since we moved from the NYC area in 1977 - starting at their Tropicana & Eastern location…I still remember that store being 2-3 customers deep at times. We ❤️ the variety of cake slices, cookies, Rugella and the Challah ❤️. We’re always there for birthday cakes, for pastries during the holidays and at other times of the year. My MUST HAVE is their luscious Black Forest cake… oh my goodness…!! I’m about to enjoy a slice now - it’s ABSOLUTELY the BEST.😋 Freeds is my little piece of NYC Bakery heaven in LV. You MUST go to Freeds. You’ll enjoy EVERYTHING. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I got cupcakes, and I'm surprised Vegas voted these as the best. Also surprised with online ordering that didn't warn you it was a 3.5 hour wait to get your cupcakes until after you were invested because they were needed for an event. Before I go on, there were other treats I didn't try that looked good, and the person helping me was really nice, but these cupcakes were slightly better than grocery store chain cupcakes. I've only tried the red velvet so far, and the icing tastes like they have used copious amounts of water and not enough sugar. The cake itself was most but tasteless. I get Vegas is overall better than some southern city I live in, but not where cupcakes are concerned.
