This place still sets the bar for food, service, and atmosphere. Top tier every time.
Friends and I get together every March in Vegas. We hit up a nice place on the Friday before our event. We've been doing this a bit and try a new one every year. Friend that booked it said he had based on reviews. All five of us were underwhelmed. The staff is very nice and professional. Three of us had the filet, one had the salmon and I believe the other had the ribeye. The cocktails were superb. The bread is amazing. The main course though very much lacked in flavor. My 10 oz filet looked more like 6oz. I left hungry. As far as atmosphere, I didn't care for seeing the diners eating at the Italian restaurant through the glass behind the wine bottles. It just lacks ambiance.
How does a 4.5 star steak house drop the ball on the one menu item they should never fail at, the steak!
First let me say, the lobster bisque soup was incredible. Presentation and taste were spot on. The cheesecake dessert, also spot on.
Service was good. However, (out of his control) I wanted to order the $165 per person, six course, chef's choice tasting menu, and I was told I could not order it because I was dining alone π.
Let's get to the steak... ordered ribeye ($90), medium rare, came out overly charred on all sides with the cross grill marks (totally unnecessary for true steak enthusiasts). Steak quality was absolutely not in line with the $90 price tag. Full of silver skin and cartilage that made many bites just a mouth full of rubber. Lighting in restaurant was a little too dark to get a great photo to show what I'm referring to. When the waiter came over to ask how the steak was, I mentioned the over charred (who wants to eat burnt skin?), he replied that it was very normal in how their steaks are prepared because they are cooked in high heat he said.
At any rate, overall experience was disappointing for a place known for steaks!

Edge Steakhouse exceeded my expectations. I loved the atmosphere and warm welcome by the host and staff. The food is top tier and I look forward to visiting again!!!
