It's... kind of disappointing ? The service was fantastic. Everyone there took very good care of us. Our drinks were constantly full and we didn't have to ask for much of anything. That part- I was happy with. The cook was really nice and my steak was cooked to the right temperature. Overall though, the food was disappointing... the quality was mid at best? We love hibachi and have been to restaurants all over the U.S. that make it and this was just...lackluster? They charge extra for fried rice too- and it's already twice as much to eat there as it is at any other hibachi. Overall, it was just fine. Not amazing... not worth what we spent... but fine.

I’ve never written a complaint in my life, but I feel this one is well deserved. My wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary at the Westgate Las Vegas. We had renewed our vows at the Chapel of Crystals and planned to enjoy a nice Hibachi dinner with family and friends at Benihana. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst experience I’ve ever had at this franchise. We had an 8:30 p.m. reservation on November 8th and arrived 15 minutes early. We were seated on time, but it took over 20 minutes before anyone even approached our table. After placing our drink orders, it took another 15 minutes to receive them, and another 20 before our dinner order was taken. We were told fried rice would cost an additional $8.95 per person — something that’s always been included at every other Benihana I’ve visited. When I asked to speak with a manager, it took over 20 minutes and two requests before anyone came over. The soup and salad were served barely warm, and there was no option for garlic dressing — only ginger. Once our meals finally arrived (after more than an hour), the sauces were distributed, but not Yum Yum sauce. When I asked for it, I was told to request it from someone else and that it would cost $1 extra. By the time I finally received it, my lobster was cold. The manager, Shannon, said she would apply a discount, but it was not reflected on the bill. I had to ask again to have it corrected. She also mentioned comping my wife and me breakfast the next morning, but took no information to follow through. What was supposed to be a wonderful anniversary celebration turned into a frustrating two-hour ordeal. I will never return to this Benihana, and I sincerely hope Westgate reviews their partnership with this location. Sincerely, Neal Gibbons

I would not recommend wasting your time or money here. It is the McDonald’s version of hibachi and will take a total of 3 hours of your time. Took an hour to even begin having our order taken. They nickel and dime every item -$1 for yum yum sauce and you don’t get it until almost after your meal. The whole experience was really unfortunate.

REQUEST ED, the chef from Hawaii! I’ve been to many teppanyaki restaurants — including several Benihanas — but none come close to the experience we had with Ed. He was absolutely phenomenal: hilarious, engaging, and incredibly skilled at his craft. Every move he made kept us entertained, and every bite was perfection. I even told our group that this kind of service isn’t the norm — Ed truly went above and beyond to make our night unforgettable.

Best Tepanyaki / Hibachi restaurant I’ve been to. The staff is actually committed to making the experience fun, rather than the usual half-assed effort and lack of enthusiasm that I’m used to seeing at a restaurant like this.
