  We were staying at Mandalay Bay and walked by the 1923 Prohibition Bar while exploring. I thought it would be a cool place to check out. We went one evening for drinks. The experience was fun but the place was very dimly lit and pretty much empty when we were there. I understand the vibe but with it being slow it was not as much fun as we expected. They do have shows but nothing while we were there. It would be fun to go back when they had a show or were busier. I got an old fashioned which was very good.

  Nestled inside a bookcase in the shops at madalay, once you find the bookcase and push through the hidden door- the prohibition era atmosphere is prominent. A dark sort of boudoir’s feel with dim lighting, dark furniture, red velvet drapes…. We have a private function and the atmosphere was great. The staff and Chris were amazing to work with as well. Highly recommend to pop by or host a private event

  This is the 3rd time we have been here. We have always had a great time. We always reserve a table or 2. Great entertainment and drinks. This time, we attended the ghost stories event hosted by Kent Axell. When we arrived, we were given welcome drinks. It was unfortunate that I was allergic to lemons and couldn't have mine. I did ask if there was something else I could have as a substitute. I was told by a hostess that I would have to go to the bar and purchase my own welcome drink they dont substitute. The show was great, and afterwards, we went to a table that we reserved. When you reserve a table, you get 2 free drinks per person. There were 4 of us, and we received our 8 drinks over about a 2 hour period. I was able to have a shot of pappy van winkle 10 year, which was super cool. You can't get that where we live. At the end, I paid my bill with cash and we left. The next morning, I looked at my bill, and we had been charged for my shot of Pappy which was correct and 2 of the 8 drinks that should have been included in the table reservation cost. Our waitress was nice to me when I could get her attention, but not so friendly to the couple that was with us. Her drink was brought out incorrect twice in a row. We did not get our group photo also included in the table cost. I am not sure what the deal was this particularevening, but this will keep us from going back.

  Great vibe and unique drinks at 1923 Prohibition Bar. The ambience was perfect, with old Chaplin movies and a darker lighting. Favorite drink was the Fat Elvis, which was delicious, second favorite was the Kat's Meow with vodka. Give it a shot, you will enjoy it.
