The owner greets you, shows you around, and is extremely friendly. The restaurant has multiple areas. A very cool downstairs bar and lounge, another lounge and bar upstairs, and the main dining area. All 70s themed. The waiter, Alfredo, is AMAZING! He’s friendly, extremely professional, and even asks about allergies. His accent is great. There are shows every 30 minutes. This place is legit! The best food and service I’ve ever had! Amazing atmosphere, don’t skip this place on your Vegas trip!
If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if hospitality, stand-up comedy, and mind-reading had a baby… go sit in Alfredo’s section at Diner Ross.
Alfredo doesn’t serve tables. He runs a five-star experience disguised as a diner shift.
You sit down thinking you’re ordering eggs. Next thing you know, Alfredo has:
• Already brought your drink before you knew you wanted one
• Recommended the one dish you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without
• Checked on you at the exact moment your fork pauses mid-air like he’s synced to your soul
The man moves like he’s on a headset with the universe. No mistakes. No lag. No nonsense.
And the personality? Dangerous.
You come for pancakes. You leave feeling like you just had brunch with a charismatic life coach who also happens to roast you lightly, hype you up, and somehow remember your name, your order, and your life story… all within 12 minutes.
At one point I’m pretty sure Alfredo:
“read the table”
“fixed the vibe”
“saved a relationship”
…and still got the check out before I reached for my wallet.
Vegas has magic shows on the Strip. Cool.
But Alfredo? He’s doing real magic in a diner booth off-menu.
Give this man a raise.
Give him a stage.
Or at minimum, give him his own section of the Constitution.
10 out of 10. Would let Alfredo run my life decisions.

I have been a waiter for 40 years and I work on the Las Vegas strip. Getting good value, taste and service can be challenging. Our experience at Diner Ross restored my faith in the service industry. ALFREDO is a national treasure. He truly understands what going above and beyond means. We tried this place on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. As a fellow server I have to help get the word out about this hidden gem deep within the depths of the LINQ hotel and casino. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The Thai shrimp appetizer was the star of the show but….. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the $48 price fix menu which can be had ONLY after 8pm. Easily the best deal on the strip. Three well sized courses for that price is criminal. You guys will always get our money. To top it all off I am a native New Yorker and the ambiance mirrors that of a Long Island diner and a bar in Grenich Village. Management team, please understand what to have in ALFREDO. He is rare. 1000000000000/10 stars.

Hubby and I bought tickets to DiscoShow and decided to make a night of it and have a preshow dinner at Diner Ross. Since we were decked out in disco costumes, it made for a fun, lively, and themed atmosphere for our entire evening.
Diner Ross is a restaurant with an identity crisis. The night we went, it had literally been a steakhouse for three days. As such, two of the best sounding steak dishes were sold out for the day. At 6:30 pm. Yikes. The manager was very apologetic and comped us two free cocktails to make up for it, and he was especially happy to do so when we told him we were locals.
The restaurant nails its 70s retro theming. You literally walk up a tunnel that looks like a gritty NYC subway and emerge in a totally immersive restaurant. The hostess stand is an old hot dog cart! The dark booths and mood lighting are perfection, and it was so fun to see all the diners who were also dressed up for the show. I felt like I was in a time capsule back to 1975!
The menu is weird, but we opted for a few of the better sounding dishes. We couldn't resist an order of the Disco Fries to share, and they were a highlight. Crispy, hot, and covered in a spicy brown gravy, you've got to try these.
The complimentary popovers weren't my favorite, but that's a bread that I've never really cared for.
Hubby got a steak with shrimp and I got the airline chicken breast. Our dishes were gorgeously plated, and we both very much enjoyed the entrees.
My chicken was tender and moist, and the sweet potatoes and green beans were delicious and not an afterthought. Hubby couldn't eat even half of his meal since it was SO huge. Adding the shrimp was a mistake, this was just way too big of a portion.
We skipped dessert because we were so stuffed, but nothing on the menu really appealed to either of us.
You can tell the chef is a real culinary person, because everything seemed so meticulously planned out. I think turning this place into a fancy steakhouse may be a mistake, as I would've much rather enjoyed a bunch of 70s inspired appetizers to share rather than a heavy dinner before a show that requires a lot of dancing!
The service was excellent, and the prices in line for the experience. I would love to go back to eat here even if I didn't have show tickets. It's a pretty groovy place for sure.

If you’re looking for a dining experience that’s more than just a meal, Diner Ross absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in through the subway-style entrance, you’re transported into a perfectly executed 70s disco dream fun, nostalgic, and effortlessly cool.
The atmosphere strikes that rare balance between upscale and laid-back, with dim lighting, retro details, and a vibe that feels both intimate and energetic. It’s not just dinner, it’s an experience.
Now, the food… next level. The A5 & The Gang trio was nothing short of exceptional. Every cut of meat was cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality this is a must-order and worth every bite. Can be shared. Highly recommend if you’re a steak lover.
And the service truly elevated the night. Alfredo, our waiter, was outstanding. He took the time to explain each item in detail, made great recommendations, and was consistently attentive without ever being overbearing. You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience he provides.
5/5 — can’t wait to come back.
