  That ham was not just ham. No. That was a spiritual experience folded between bread. I took one bite and immediately understood why people in old paintings look so serious. They had tasted something like this and realized ordinary life could never be enough again. That pig must have been gorgeous. I mean majestic. Not regular farm-animal beautiful either. I’m talking “sunlight hitting its back like a Renaissance painting” beautiful. A noble creature. A beast of destiny. It probably walked around with confidence, knowing deep in its bones that one day it would become the centerpiece of the greatest Subway sandwich ever assembled by human hands. And the flavor? Ridiculous. The ham had this salty, tender, almost royal presence. It did not sit in the sandwich. It commanded the sandwich. The lettuce was just there for moral support. The cheese was trying its best. The bread was basically a stage, and the ham was giving the performance of a lifetime. I swear, every slice tasted like it had lived a full, meaningful life. Like this animal had known green pastures, dramatic sunsets, and maybe even love. I don’t know what kind of pig produces ham like that, but it must have had perfect posture and wise eyes. Maybe it stared into the distance a lot. Maybe other pigs respected it. I walked into Subway expecting lunch and left questioning the nature of beauty, sacrifice, and deli meat. That ham was so good it made me want to apologize to the sandwich for not dressing better. I should have worn a tie. I should have approached it with reverence. Because somewhere out there, a beautiful animal became ham, and that ham became art, and that art became my sandwich. And for a few glorious minutes, everything in the world made sense.

  Good sandwich, Belle and harl are friendly, funny and nice, that Belle lady is definitely the cooler one

  BEWARE FOOD POISONING. Got food here since it was the only option in beatty. A day after, I came down with the worst food poisoning in my life. Absolutely nuked my Death Valley/Joshua Tree trip. Wasted a ton of money over a stupid sandwich. Do not eat here under any circumstances. I wish I read the other reviews warning of food poisoning before eating here.

  We were arriving by 21:30 and there where around 5-6 people before us. The server was yelling at us from afar in an utterly disgracing tone the she won't take any new orders.
