I am very disappointed with my recent experience. During our visit, we interacted with a staff member named Teena, and unfortunately, the situation was handled in an unprofessional manner.
She appeared unfamiliar with the store’s rules. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and there was physical contact during the exchange, which resulted in my friend’s phone screen being damaged. This was extremely concerning and upsetting.
Customer service should always prioritize professionalism, clear communication, and respectful behavior. I strongly encourage management to review this incident and take appropriate action to ensure this does not happen to other customers.

Dear Store Manager / Area Manager/ Store owner.
I am writing to formally report a very concerning incident that occurred yesterday at the Subway - St Peters location.
Incident time-(3:00 pm on 17 feb)
My friend and I were travelling from Sydney to Amherst and stopped at your store for a short break and to purchase food. Upon entering, my friend urgently needed to use the restroom. We found that the male washroom urinal was blocked, and another person was already inside. We waited approximately 5-10minutes; however, my friend was unable to wait any longer due to urgency.
There was another restroom clearly marked for employees. Given that the public facility was blocked and unavailable, my friend knocked and briefly used the employee restroom. I remained outside waiting.
When my friend exited, a staff member named Teena approached the situation in an extremely unprofessional and aggressive manner. She knocked forcefully on the door and began shouting at my friend. He immediately apologized and attempted to explain that the public washroom was blocked, but she refused to listen.
During this incident, another individual from the neighboring pizza store (who identified as being from the Philippines) became involved and physically pushed me when I attempted to record the situation for evidence. While I was recording, Teena struck my phone, causing my screen to break. Additionally, the individual from the pizza store used abusive language toward us.
There were many customers present who witnessed this incident.
I informed Teena that we already working at Subway from last 3 years in different locations and understand customer service standards. However, she responded by stating that she is the supervisor and said, “You are not a customer.” She also stated she could call the manager immediately if I wanted to speak to them.
I am extremely disappointed by the behavior displayed. Regardless of store policy regarding employee restrooms, there is no justification for shouting at customers, physical aggression, damaging personal property, or allowing abusive language in front of other patrons.
I respectfully request that higher management review the CCTV footage from the time of the incident. There appears to be a camera positioned on the left corner near the pizza store area, which should clearly show what occurred. I also have video recordings of part of the incident and am prepared to provide them if required.
I request that appropriate action be taken regarding this matter. I believe staff should be properly trained in professional communication and conflict resolution, especially supervisors representing the brand.
Please let me know how you intend to address this complaint. I can be reach me for any further information.
