  Our servers Name was Caryn at the Halifax Bayers Lake restaurant She was very friendly and Relaxed with us She was helpful and made us feel like we were very important while we were there. She anticipated our needs with refills and helping us to understand the menu. She’s very punctual with her service. she also valued my young granddaughter as a person spoke to her about what she would like to have and helped her with her choices I do eat out quite often at restaurants, and this lady deserves a bonus and recognition for a job called done

  I had a terrible experience a three-four months ago. First of all it is a mouse inside running through your feet. It was very sad to see that the staff ignored it at all like so be it. The second one is the meal. I don't know what happened, because I stopped by several times here and the food was OK. But the last time it was totally disgusting. Mozzarella sticks were heated up in a microwave (you know, hot outside cool inside) served with a tasteless tomato sauce. This sauce also was added to the seafood linguine that totally spoiled the dish. Meatballs were frozen and heated up the same way in a microwave. It seemed like they were trying to stuff you with reheated food, pretending it was freshly prepared in the kitchen. So now, Mario ‘s forever out of my list.

  We had a wonderful dining experience at East Side Mario’s! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service truly made our visit special. A special shoutout to Caryn, who took such great care of us. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. She helped us choose the perfect dishes and made sure everything was just right. What really stood out was how sweet she was with my son—he felt so happy and comfortable, and he even asked me to leave a nice review for her! Thank you, Caryn, for your exceptional service and warm personality. You made our day memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back! 😊

  Our party of 4 were very well taken care of by Helen B. She was absolutely fantastic. She took our orders and I teased her a bit by asking if she was going to write it all down. She didn’t miss a thing. We need more Helens around HRM. I hope East Side Mario’s treats her well and cherishes her service, as once the word gets out, she’ll be a highly sought after asset to any business. If you go to ESM, Bayer’s Lake… ask to sit in her section. You’ll quickly see what I mean.

  Me and my boyfriend came at 6:40pm and where seated decently quick, our server (who I feel I shouldn’t name) was polite though she seemed either overwhelmed by her tables and/or forgot about us. We waited a reasonable amount of time between our apps and mains but that was no issue. We got our mains and probably waited 25 minutes from when we finished to get the bill. I had to ask another server to bring the bill to us because we were getting quite frustrated. Iv been here lots and had very positive experiences but not sure I’ll be coming back soon after this. Though our experience was pretty frustrating and upsetting we still tipped and tried not to make a scene. The food was amazing the service was not.
