  Had a great experience at Swiss Chalet. The food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. A special thanks to Sandeep for the amazing service—she was very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. It’s always nice to see staff who truly care about customers. I will definitely be coming back!

  The best place for dinner with my family. You can't beat coming out and having two adult dinners and kids eat free for less than $65 with a tip. Love the Main Street restaurant. Food is fast and so yummy!

  The food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The rotisserie chicken was tender and juicy, and the chalet sauce was delicious as always. The portion sizes were generous and worth the price. The staff were friendly, polite, and provided quick service. The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my visit and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty and affordable food.

  Took my wife and adult daughter here on Valentine's Day 2026. Much to our dismay, it was the worst service we have ever experienced in a restaurant. I know there are some terrible experiences others have had that may have been way worse, but this is ours. We noticed no staff waiting at the entrance to great you. So I assumed they are busy, But that certainly was not the case. Maybe at 1/3 capacity at best. The wait was not to long so not really a huge deal. We sat down, at 5:41PM, well over 20 minutes before we were acknowledged and asked us if would like a drink. We said sure and we ordered our food as well. The staff member proceeded to tell us it would be over an hour if we wanted white meat. How on earth does a restaurant who specializes in chicken dishes run out of chicken (White Meat). We were told they were out of several items and even certain drinks. After 15 minutes, the drinks were brought out. No Straws and no water. We had ordered a few starters as well since they mentioned it would be over an hour. After 40ish minutes, between 6:50 PM and 7:00 PM finally, my wife's Salad (the side from her main dish, not one of the starters) arrived. She finished her Salad over the course of 15 minutes all the while nothing else showed up, not even a staff member. Approximately 10 minutes ( Approx. 7:20 PM) after that, the starters showed up, A Bowl of Soup and Garlic Bread. Yes because they take so DARN long to cook and get out to a customer....... Pathetic!!!! Incredibly, about 5 minutes (Approx. 7:25 PM) after the starters showed up, our main courses showed up. We were not even done the starters at this point. At least we got the food, right. Servers left, Never asked us a single thing, if we needed anything, NOTHING!!!!!!!!! We never even had the time to ask for anything if we wanted to anyways, they left that fast. You know those "bottomless drinks, Soda's, Shirley Temple, ie" HAHAHAHAHAHA. They never once came around asking if we needed refills/top ups. Actually they never came back after they brought the food period..... So after the food was delivered, We began to get ready to eat and low and behold, not enough silverware at the table!!!!!!!! How the HELL do you not provide enough silverware for the amount of people at a table. If you place 3 people at a table, BRING 3 SETS OF SILVERWARE!!!!!!!! Its pretty simple and easy MATH.... The food. Well definitely not 5 star quality for sure. I will explain some of the issues.... The Salad - there were some pieces of lettuce that had black rotten sections on it. Not many but DANG IT, we are in a restaurant, there should be NONE in it, period. The Soup was good but not very warm. Also just 2 Crackers, Seriously, JUST 2. Thanks for saving the owner a couple cents!!!!!!! The Garlic bread was OK. Flavour was good but sadly only luke warm. The main course - The taste and flavours were all good except that they were all NOT HOT. I would classify it as warm at best. Even the little cups with sour cream and salsa looked like a 2 year old just threw the stuff in there and then played with it. Very unprofessional presentation to say the least. I know you do not want food scorching hot but you seriously do not want it luke warm either. NOT ONCE did anyone ever come by to even ask if everything was good or if we needed anything or to remove empty dishes/glasses. Totally unacceptable.. We even noticed other people in the restaurant having to take silverware off other tables so they could eat as well. The amount of disorganized people working there is ridiculous. I am giving a 1 Star because you cannot give lower than that. In the end, I also had to get up and go pay at the register because we got tired of waiting for the server to bring our check. Even at the checkout was a disaster, Trying to charge us for items that were free. Glad I checked the receipt first. Ultimately, for us this was a HUGE FAIL on their part and I swear that as long as still breath, I will never step foot in this restaurant on Main Street in Dartmouth ever again!!!!!!! Terrible, Terrible
