Subway: Where the bread is warm but the staff’s attitude is ice cold”
I walked into this Subway with nothing but hope in my heart and hunger in my stomach. Unfortunately, the employee on duty seemed to have taken a personal vow of silence — and misery. No greeting, no smile, not even a “one sec.” She looked at me, looked away, and went right back to whatever she was doing, as if I had accidentally walked into a private staff-only existential crisis.
After standing there awkwardly like a ghost haunting the sandwich counter, I finally decided to just order through the app. (Shoutout to technology for being more polite than a human being.) The app even suggested a free cookie for my birthday — which I thought was a cute touch. Not that I was expecting a parade, but it would’ve been nice if the employee at least acknowledged it, or, you know… spoke. Instead, she handled my order like I’d just asked her to assemble a twelve-foot sub with her bare hands.
Every movement, every glance, radiated pure “I don’t want to be here” energy. She didn’t have to say a word — her body language screamed it for her. The temperature in the restaurant might’ve been room temp, but the service was absolutely sub-zero.
Look, I’m not expecting Broadway-level enthusiasm when I order a sandwich. I don’t need jazz hands with my turkey and cheese. But a simple hello? Maybe even the faintest attempt at civility? Not too much to ask when your title literally includes the words “customer service.”
In short: the sub was fine, the cookie was small and the attitude was colder than the lettuce. If she hates interacting with people this much, maybe Subway could transfer her to the bread-baking department, at least the oven’s warm, and bread doesn’t need customer interaction.

I don't even know if this should be a five star or a one star. The woman working is very straightforward, trying to be professional, but is obviously on her last nerve.Yelled to customers coming in to tell them they would have to wait fifteen minutes at least because she has so much work to do in the back, and she's the only one working. And she had served seventy five people, which I believe may be true and if this is true and not an exaggeration, it is over the top that she works alone. She did make an error in my order and replaced my sub directly. Everyone who came in heard about how much work she has done and that there was a lot to do in the back with no help. She is a fireball but definitely could make people not want to be here which according to the signage posted all over seems to be what this location is looking for--no using the washroom unless you have paid for your food and dining room is for paying customers only. That made me comfirtable and I was a paying customer. Someone picked up an order as we entered and as we were finishing and they were treated with kindness. One person left when told it would be 5-10 minutes, unsure if they returned. The owner needs to get the scanner fixed so people can use their subway coupons, support your staff and better. She cleaned tables and made bread and let people know about the scanner issue. Plus she made subs well, ours were delicious!

Server was good and polite....but if this is how your food is going, I'll stay away

Worst experience ever at this Subway. The guy working there — Chuck — has zero customer service skills. No greeting, no smile, no eye contact, and literally made a weird face when I walked in. I said hi, and he didn’t even bother to respond. Felt like I was bothering him just by existing. If you hate your job that much, don’t take it out on the customers. Never going back to this location again.
