very much at the culinary level of antonio’s taste of mexico (that means 5 stars), and certainly one of the best restaurants in taos.
this is definitely several steps above MEDLEY, which is not in any way “best of taos “ (politics).
staff, atmosphere, certainly 5 stars.
on the downside, no gluten free options for their exceptional burgers (im not gluten free, yet who wants a flavorless, textureless, nutritionally devoid, bleached whitte flour horror of an excuse for “bread” for their burger?).
no acceptable or local beer on tap(my family was there for a birthday celebration, and we went to taos mesa taproom after to have a real beer).
on the upside,
they have one of the best selections of mezcal and sotol
in taos.
know what you are stepping into, and enjoy a 5 star experience.
expect to get what you paid for.
also, to out of towners,
if you give los angeles attitude, you will get it back.
this is taos, not pathetic los angeles, so don’t post some childish nonsense about the exceptional service being inadequate.
you are in cowboy country, behave.

Welcoming staff exceeded expectations. Food and drinks were all superb and we loved the focus on local. Beautiful setting, highly recommend, and we can't wait to return!

Visited for dinner while traveling through the area. We arrived just before the dining room opened so we relaxed in the bar area and it wasn't a long wait. Our server was great and came and got us when our table was ready. She took our order and the food didn't take long to come out. I had a Juliette burger and fries. The burger was delicious and the fries were awesome. It was a bit on the expensive side at $30 for the combo. My wife had sheet bread and thin sliced pork that she enjoyed. Overall we had a good experience.

This place is a weird vibe. Maybe it’s because I’m spoiled from living in New York City. Food is lacking. Maybe just sit at the bar for a drink but skip dinner. Atmosphere, service, and food didn’t live up to the expectations we had based on reading other reviews

I stayed at Hotel Willa last weekend. As part of our booking, we received money to use towards dinner and breakfast at Juliette.
The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The dinner service was okay. We got the burger, the fresh cheese and cheese dumplings. The burger came out and after the first couple of bites, it completely fell apart and the bread was soggy. The onions in it were good but unfortunately the burger was overcooked and the chile did not have flavor.
I got breakfast the next morning and the service was not the best. I am not from New Mexico and when I ordered , I asked what the difference was between the red and green chili. The server said, “I do not know. I guess one is red and one is green.” The server did offer for me to order it on the side so I could try both. I was disappointed that they were not able to explain the difference. There was another mix up that was accidental but the server came back to pour water in my glass but accidentally poured it into my coffee.
I hope this feedback can help encourage improvements to the service and food.
