This place is well worth the hype. The Chile Relleno el Nogada was fantastic, unique flavors with a slight sweetness and tang. And the sopapillas are the best I've ever had, fluffy, crispy, and fresh.

We had an incredible meal here and were surprised by the quality, flavors, and options. We had enchiladas and tacos, plus dessert. It was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. This was a pleasant surprise as we also ate at one or two busier local spots that were good but not as excellent as this one. Highly recommend.

Extremely disappointed all around. Was really looking forward to eating here, but everything was bad. The owner, Antonio, just kinda stalked around the place and was pretty unfriendly, even though we said hello and that we excited to be there. First, our margaritas were lukewarm, and had barely enough ice to stay in the glass by the time they got to our table. The food itself was a bit embarrassing. I had a smothered chicken burrito, which, according to the menu, had beans, cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole. The burrito was filled mostly with chicken (which boiled chicken breast that was chewy, and had zero flavor), and (I kid you not) 10 individual beans. Then on the outside was a tiny dollop of sour cream, guacamole, and sprinkle of pico. Possibly the worst meal I’ve had in Taos. Then to top it all off, the bill was over 200 for four of to eat and have one drink! Do not recommend going here.

My family was so excited to try this place tonight on Christmas Day. We came in our family of 11 after skiing (mine and my brothers family’s) they acted like they didn’t want to seat us from the beginning. Very rude from the minute we walked in. My 7 yr daughter got up to come speak to me about her order and the OWNER came over and moved her seat, made her fall out of the seat and then told her not get up again. My nephew also 7 got up from his seat and was told not to get up by the owner again. The waitress told my SIL he could get up to go to the restroom but not get up. I understand it’s a small place. To give them service on Christmas Day and be treated the way were. We were not all given drinks, we had to ask for several drinks and refills. The water is warm tap water from dirty old bottles. I guess it’s supposed to be a nice place because Guy from diners, drive in’s and dives has been there. I would never recommend this place to anyone coming to Taos. I’m not one ever make any kind of review bad or good. But when the owner of a restaurant comes and moves my child’s seat with her in it and makes her fall out her seat and makes cry because she embarrassed her I will not accept that to be a generous restaurant. Do not waste your money or time. After our $360 ticket plus the $60 tip they still did not say thank you goodbye nothing. But that’s ok. This Texas family will NOT be back! MERRY CHRISTMAS Antonio’s <3

I'm sorry but this place is GOOD. I had the Huitlacoche enchiladas on the recommendation of the waitress and they were amazing. Also had a cocktail. So good. Worth the money. Of course its expensive, it's Taos. Treat yoself!
