I (Jessica) wanted to share a huge shout-out and thank you to the management team at Outback Steakhouse!
Our large group placed an order on Veterans Day, which we know is one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants honoring our service members. Unsurprisingly, with the incredible volume of traffic, we ran into a few issues with our order.
However, the way the staff handled the situation completely solidified my loyalty. The manager on duty (Demetri) was exceptionally kind, took the time to listen to our concerns, and immediately jumped into action to make things right. They went above and beyond to ensure our entire group was satisfied, completely rectifying the situation with professionalism and genuine care.
It’s easy to provide great service when things go perfectly, but seeing how they handle stress and manage issues is the true test of an excellent establishment. Thank you for valuing your customers and for showing such outstanding commitment to service recovery. We truly appreciated the manager's kindness and the effort made by the whole team. Highly recommend this location!

It was okay. Steak was cooked right and had some taste (unlike Cattle Baron). BUT I think we'd get more for our money at Texas Roadhouse and they have a greater selection

If you’re taking a business course right now. you might find Outback in the conversation as a company who struggles to find its footing and relevance in 2025.
Like many others, I usually go with Roadhouse or one of its competitors for a quick steak. Today I decided to go to Outback and boy oh boy, can you see why they struggle to find relevancy in today’s day and age.
First off, I think this is a management issues, the waitresses were all struggling at keeping all of their tables serviced. It took my wife and I about 40 minutes to finally get all of our appetizers, with one being wrong and not seeing it again until closer the time we left.
My entree was overall good, but they couldn’t not, for their lives, get the service going to where it needed to be. It took about 50 minutes to get my entree, about 45 minutes to get my wife’s drink from the bar, about 40 minutes to get all the apps out, which took an additional 15 minutes to get the replacement app out which was not even acceptable in terms of quality.
I finished my entree, looked at the sad replacement app we received, the shot my wife requested about 30 minutes prior at this point. And just paid and left.
I’ve read articles on Outback just trying to stay above water in this day and age, and today’s experience showed me that it doesn’t have a place with the competition. Somehow, in my opinion, this brand has fallen down so far, it’s not surprising reading of their struggles.
For me personally I will never stop in a place called Outback ever again, anywhere, due to this one last experience alone.
