- MRMonte Rutledge5 days ago4.0The pizza is good, different than most places in town. There’s room for improvement, especially with the price. Two medium pizzas will run you $40 easy, no sides, no drinks, just 2 medium pizzas. They have a dedicated app that is easy to use and works well. If you use Door Dash instead, pay attention. Door Dash is cheaper by about a dollar a pizza (odd) however, you have to pay close attention or your order won’t be correct. On DD, for example, if you try to order a Mediterranean pizza, it defaults to the New Mexican pizza (on DD app). I recommend this place if you’re looking for good pizza and a good beer. It shines when you dine in not when you order out. The staff are great and very friendly. Beautiful waitresses, handsome waiters, smiles and laughter all around. I enjoy eating at the bar and find NYP to be a cool little hang-out when I want to chil solo or with a friend or two. Parking sucks. But if you park in back, there’s always a space. It’s important to mention that NYP is moving to a new construction location across the street that is sure to be a hit and improvement. Overall, this place deserves a solid 4/5. I eat pizza from here about 1 out of every 3-4 times I have pizza. If it were less cost or more food for the money, I’d eat pizza from here more often. But with Dion’s and all the other pizza places in town, NYP isn’t as strong a competitor as others for price, quality, atmosphere, and ease. It hits hard in some categories but not in others.
