I don't know why this sonic is wayyy better than the east side Sonic. Better food and service.

I pulled into a bay to place an order because the drive through was non-functional. I pressed the red button and waited 15-20 minutes with no response. I pulled around to the mobile pick up bay, downloaded the app and placed my order. The app listed a pickup time within 5 minutes. I waited 15 minutes after my scheduled pick up time then called the store. The manager on duty January 19 2026 at 6:30 pm had the nastiest attitude for no reason. She hung up in my face without providing me with a status on my order. I knocked on the door at the store and an employee went to get the manger whose voice I recognized from the phone call. Before I could even speak, she was flapping her arms, rolling her eyes, huffing and puffing. She said “You didn’t even check in!”. I tried to show her where I had checked in and she walked off before even looking at my phone to confirm. I understand being stressed when the restaurant is busy but I gave her no reason to be nasty towards me. I asked for a refund and she waved me off and told me to use the automated system. Thankfully an employee came out with my order looking confused about a minute later. The employee looked frustrated and frazzled for what I’m assuming is because he is working under a person who doesn’t know how to regulate her emotions like a proper adult. I feel sorry for those employees and I would never stop there again.

I enjoy the bargain drinks at Sonic, however this location seems to always have our order incorrectly. The location is convenient traveling into and out of Gallup. The location is clean and the employees are nice. We tend to drive-thru or order ahead for convenience and the while we waited, a waiter went around and offered extras condiments if needed.
