Instead of accommodating such a simple, reasonable request, the employee insisted the only way was to charge me for an entire sandwich, which made no sense. What made the situation even more frustrating was the inconsistency — moments later, the same employee handed out free cookies to another customer without hesitation. To make matters worse, after I left the counter, the employee spoke to the next guests in line, telling them I had been rude. What they didn’t realize was that those guests were actually part of my party, so the behavior was unprofessional and unnecessarily disrespectful. Policies are one thing, but the way this situation was handled lacked basic customer service, fairness, and courtesy. This experience left a very negative impression, and I hope management addresses how situations like this are handled in the future.
