Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Customers frequently reported extremely long wait times, often exceeding 20-40 minutes for orders, leading to frustration.
Order Accuracy
Many reviews highlighted issues with incorrect orders, including missing items and food prepared incorrectly.
Staff Attitude
While some customers praised friendly staff, others noted a lack of professionalism and poor management, affecting overall service quality.
Food Quality
Feedback on food quality was mixed; while some enjoyed the meals, others complained about cold or poorly prepared food.

Service was sooo slow! The burger did not taste like it normally does from Whataburger. Maybe it's the new location...not sure.

Went through the drive-thru the other day. I ordered a small dr. Pepper & also mentioned I had a coupon for a free medium fry. The guy said they'll honor that at the window. After 15 minutes of waiting behind 2 cars, I get to the window and there is a very unwelcoming girl at the window who just says "small dr. Pepper - $2.19", she holds the card reader out for me and as I'm trying to tap, it isn't working so I tell her as she was busy talking to her coworkers, she said "oh sorry" & pressed something on her computer and it worked. She hands me my dr. Pepper and starts closing the window. I say "oh, umm I'm missing my fries, I told the guy on the speaker but he maybe didn't hear me" I hand her the coupon which clearly says " One free medium fry. No purchase necessary" she takes it and says it will be a couple minutes so I wait. She comes back to the window and says "what size did you want?" While holding the coupon in her hand. I could have said large but I said medium. She goes back in and comes back with a bag and hands it to me, I ask "can I get Ketchup please?" Then some guy on the side of her yells "I put some in the bag already!!" I drove off and yeah there was Ketchup in the bag with my cold flimsy fries.
Wow, my first and last time at this location for sure.

This location still has a lot of work to do on training staff, management, getting orders correct, getting orders out in a timely manner, and hot and fresh. I had hoped it would improve after several months of being open and getting established, but we are constantly disappointed every time. Our order always takes 20 mins to prepare, and if you order online, get ready to wait well past the time that app says your order should be ready. Something is always missing and/or is incorrect on our order. Today I received a burger with zero toppings, when I actually added extra toppings along with the traditional toppings. The employees are polite, trying their best, and visibly stressed, but this comes down to lack of thorough training and poor management.
