Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I’m sorry that I bothered you by coming for Dinner at 10:30 at night. I’m sorry that you were having such a horrible day that you felt necessary to be rude over the drive-through speaker. I’m sorry that you were so out out that you couldn’t be bothered to put bacon on my Bacon and Cheese Whataburger. I’m also sorry you felt the need to put my fries in the bag upside down. I work nights, driving all over Albuquerque and stop at Whataburger all the time because you’re one of the few places open, and I love your burgers. But this is the last time I will be going to this one.

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint about my experience at your establishment this morning, November 14, 2025. while picking up a DoorDash order.
Upon arrival, I was informed of a new policy regarding order pickups. Due to extended drive-thru wait times, I was directed to enter the facility. Inside, I requested to speak with the manager on duty to provide constructive feedback about the new policy.
Unfortunately, the manager—who appeared to be in his early-to-mid-twenties—demonstrated a dismissive and unprofessional attitude. He interrupted me mid-sentence, walked away while giving a dismissive thumbs-up, and ignored further attempts to engage. When I sought assistance from another manager, Veronica, she also dismissed my feedback and refused to provide the name of the first manager.
This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable and discourages open communication that could benefit the business. I believe it is crucial for management to maintain professionalism and respect toward customers, especially when receiving feedback.
I request that appropriate action be taken regarding the conduct of both managers involved and that my suggestions be considered for improving operations. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
Thank you for your time and understanding.

Some of the best service I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant - the server was super friendly, the burger was tasty, and the music choice was superb. Thanks Whataburger!!!

I’m usually a fan of Whataburger, but tonight’s experience was incredibly frustrating. My daughter went to pick up our dinner, and unfortunately, she was greeted by a larger lady, wearing a bun with glasses at the drive-through window who was not only rude but also unprofessional.
I understand that working in the service industry means dealing with all kinds of customers, but it's important to remember that the way you say something matters just as much as what you say. The attitude was off-putting from the start, and it made a simple transaction feel unnecessarily uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, the order wasn’t even input correctly into the system, which led to additional frustration. It’s disappointing that customer service at this location has such room for improvement, especially when the rest of the brand has such a good reputation.
I hope this is an isolated incident, but based on tonight’s experience, I won’t be in a rush to return anytime soon or at all if that sorry worker is on shift.

Be very careful when you go to this location. The food is always fine but we ordered food in the drive-thru on 10/26 at 6:30 am and the cashier did not give our debit card back to us. We didn’t realize till later in the day and somebody had made fraudulent charges for $460. Very disappointing as a customer to have money stolen from an employee here.
