We placed the orders more than 48 hours in advance. I received confirmation emails the day I placed the orders and text updates the day of pickup. When our pickup window passed with no further updates, we went to the store to check on the order. At the deli, we were told the order was never received, despite the confirmation emails stating the orders were successfully placed, which I showed to them. A manager stepped in and said that their system never received the orders, though something must’ve went through since I was charged for the hot items and had received text updates as well. The manager was extremely apologetic and offered a full refund for all hot items and told us the hoagie tray would be free. They prepared everything on the spot, so understandably there was a bit of a wait, but we were very appreciative. The refund was given in cash (they also offered to refund us using a gift card, but I chose the cash option), and the manager brought the food to us from the back (we were waiting at the front of the store) when it was ready. The food turned out great. The chicken was hot, moist, and well seasoned, and the potato wedges were flavorful. The manager and staff went above and beyond to fix the situation and truly saved the day. I would order from this Acme again, but I strongly recommend calling ahead to confirm they received your order if you place it online, since their system appears to be unreliable. This happened right before a major snow storm, so maybe some things got lost in the shuffle with all that was going on. But if something does go awry, they will do everything they can to make it right!
