The food was great as well as the view. We love this place but they seemed extremely understaffed. We were waiting a while for our food multiple times and we had to remind the staff we needed a spoon, water, etc. All in all we will still come back.

Stunning atmosphere, but the kitchen missed the mark on the mains. While the service and upscale atmosphere at this establishment are top-tier, the food unfortunately did not live up to the "high-end" price point. As someone who frequently prepares food via sous vide, I found the Sous Vide Chicken surprisingly dry and under-seasoned. For $33, the portion size—three small pieces—felt inadequate, especially when compared to the quality and value found elsewhere. The asparagus was also quite fibrous and difficult to eat. On a positive note, the garlic mashed potatoes were delicious (though I would have appreciated a more generous portion), and the lava cake was a highlight of the evening. It’s a beautiful venue for a night out, but the execution of the entrees needs to be more consistent to justify the cost.

I went here to celebrate my birthday. The food was good, but The service was very slow. The server barely checked up on us. It took 30 minutes to get a new basket of bread and 30 more minutes to get another cocktail. At the end of the night, we were handed a check that said $595. In that same night, they told us they forgot to add things to our check and charged us another $90. Four days after we had originally come here, they charged yet another $189 telling us that they forgot to ring things in and they only wanted to rectify their mistake. Not only did they refuse to explain where any of these extra costs were. Not only did they refuse to explain where any of these extra costs were. The only thing they offered was a free dessert as if we would ever visit them again. Overall, super shady and honestly not worth the hassle.

Chart House never fails to deliver an impeccable dining experience. From uniquely crafted, multi-cuisine appetizers to mouth watering desserts, Chart House stands as a flagship fine dining establishment in northern NJ. Their views are unmatched and the added bonus of being able to go on the balcony behind the restaurant for photos seals the deal!

We wanted to celebrate valentine’s day at the chart house for the first time. Didnt have a reservation but called before we go and it’s told to us we can just walk in. After we went there and walked in there was a waiting list and waited for 40 mins. At the downstairs the atmosphere was looking so elegant however guest without reservation was staying upstairs. We were seated at tables in the hallway. It was extremly cold and when we share with a waiter he changed our table. There was a banquet hall and chart house decided to put extra tables and chairs to guest more people. Just imagine in an empty banquet hall there is a couple tables on the window side just for the view (thankfully) and nothing else. No atmosphere as the downstairs. This extra room was also freezing. Throughout the meal, our waists and bodies were so cold that we wrapped our coats around them. When I got to the car at the end of the meal, my feet were still freezing. Waitresses was kind and smiling. After we order as a entree kim chee calamari it served in normal timing and was delicius. After we ordered main course one 9 oz filet mignon (portion was small when compared to 9 oz) and mac nut mahi (mango sticky rice was not sticky but delicius dry rice) food served almost in an hour. Waiting time was so long we started not to feel mood to eat. We paid 130$ to the meal for two person. Overall food was nice but hospitality and atmosphere was not what we expected from the chart house.
