The food is amazing and I like the atmosphere. The best restaurant around northern NJ!! Loved the steak, octopus, beet salad and Bronzino and passion fruit cheese cake!
The street parking was not bad.

TL;DR: If you’re vegan, have kids, or care about value… maybe keep walking.
If you are vegan or have kids or like your money to translate into food quality, this probably isn’t your spot. It calls itself fine dining, but it feels more like modern decor + NYC pricing – the finesse. I honestly don’t think it would last a year in Midtown Manhattan, but given the lack of nearby options, it’s surviving on geography. If you live next door and don’t mind overpaying for convenience, fine. I wouldn’t cross the street for it.
The vegan situation
The vegan dish was “mushroom gnocchi.”
The gnocchi were clearly store-bought, which calling “fine dining” is… ambitious. The velouté sauce had the texture of custard you could slice, and tasted strongly of flour — never a great sign. Then came the creative mirepoix decision: no onion, lots of celery root. The result? The entire dish tasted like celery. Not “hint of celery.” Celery: The Musical. Mushrooms are delicate. Celery root, uncooked flour, and excess salt are… not their friends. Even after scraping off most of the sauce, it was hard to find the mushroom flavor. It’s a bit like putting ketchup on truffles (please don’t give the chef ideas).
The non-vegan dishes
Mixed results. The octopus and flatbread were hits — genuinely enjoyed by everyone. The steak, however, was overcooked to the point of resistance. My wife struggled to cut it, and our kids simply chewed and politely rejected it. Some bites were edible. Others fought back.
The room
The space looks… fine. New-ish, not ugly. Clearly an interior designer was involved. But it’s neither especially elegant nor charming — more “nice showroom” than memorable restaurant.
The kids + bar situation (where it really went downhill)
Many NJ places don’t allow kids at the bar — fine. NJ law does allow kids at bars, but private places can set their own rules. No issue there.
The issue was this: They were the only place that refused to honor happy hour pricing when moving us from the bar to a table because of that rule. We didn’t even want bar food — just early happy hour cocktails. The manager insisted we pay double because we were now at a table we didn’t ask for.
For comparison: Milos next door helped with the stroller, gave us a small table, and honored happy hour. Happy parents, happy kids, everyone wins.

I’m just leaving Faubourg Weehawken with a party of 6. We decided to go for my daughter’s 31st birthday. However the service was HORRIBLE. The waiter kept getting our orders messed up. She first brought the wrong drink to the birthday girl. Then it took over 15 minutes for the waiter to walk by and we had to get her attention to ask for the correct drink. It took Another 15 minutes or more to get the correct drink. Then she brought the incorrect entree. Brought the shrimp instead of salmon. I had to wait to get 2 small flat pieces of salmon stacked. Not what her mother in law salmon looked like on her plate. I ordered Brussels sprouts. They never came but they came with a plate of octopus that I never ordered. So of course they took it back. The waiter did not come by to check up on us. I never complete reviews but I had to with this experience. The restaurant manager didn’t even care or apologized for anything. He walked away after the error of the salmon and never came back. My daughter and her husband been to the one in Montclair and said service and food was spectacular in Montclair. I will never return to this one in Weehawken.

First time there for brunch. Only one other group was there. The host put us on a tiny table for two that had no space for anything. It was a constant moving around of dishes and bottles by us and the waiter. Completely and unnecessarily uncomfortable and when another couple came in, they were seated at a regular booth. Ordered a $50+ Sirloin steak and the meat was so though, I can get more tender mean at a dinner and no, it was not well done or even medium that we ordered. Not sure what the hipe is about this place but will not be returning there nor do I recommend it.
