  I dined solo on a Wednesday evening and there were few customers. I sat at the bar. Service was good but below average on friendliness except toward known clientele. I ordered a martini and bread — only available as service for 2-4 people — and the orecchiette & lamb ragout. I rank lamb among my favorites and really looked forward to the dish, but was totally disappointed. I couldn’t find the lamb or even the taste of lamb. Mostly pasta, cherry tomatoes, salty black olives and heavily seasoned overall. I left half behind. I was asked if I wanted a second martini, but not if I liked the dinner until the check arrived. The dish was clearly made using ground lamb, not lamb shoulder, and so little of it that I could barely see any evidence nor could I taste it.

  It does the job in a pinch, it being one of the nicer eateries in the area. Food is hit or miss. Service is usually friendly.

  We hosted an intimate family luncheon for my son's 1st birthday back in August 2025, and Faubourg Weehawken did not disappoint. Joan was so easy to work with during the planning stage, and the staff onsite on the day of the event were so friendly and accommodating. We were given a private area of the restaurant that was set up beautifully, and had plenty of space to walk around and store gifts, high chairs, and display the cake. The food was great, too - we kept the menu a la carte so our guests had the flexibility to order what they wanted - and everyone was so pleased. Thank you, Faubourg, for helping us celebrate this special milestone with elegance and ease!
