This was an amazing and refreshing experience. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the food was absolutely delicious—truly exceptional—and beautifully presented. The level of service was outstanding.
Our waitress, Liliya, was attentive, welcoming, and incredibly pleasant throughout the entire meal. She was prompt, professional, and ensured that everything was taken care of, making the experience even more enjoyable.
The manager, Jake, also made a wonderful impression. He greeted us warmly at the front and came by the table several times to ensure we were satisfied. His attentiveness and professionalism were greatly appreciated. Several other team members also stopped by to check on us, which made us feel genuinely valued as guests.
The entire experience felt special and refreshing, especially after dining at other places where this level of service is not always provided. Blu truly sets a high standard for hospitality, and their team demonstrates exactly how guests should be treated. Other restaurants could certainly learn from the example they set.

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a a friend’s birthday dinner at Blu on the Hudson, and the entire experience was exceptional.
Located along the Hudson River with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, the setting alone makes this one of the most impressive dining experiences in the area. The restaurant is elegant and the atmosphere makes it perfect for a special occasion.
What truly elevated the evening was the hospitality. The team was welcoming, attentive, and clearly focused on creating a memorable experience for their guests. We were seated at a wonderful table, the service was polished throughout the evening, and the staff offered thoughtful recommendations, including a great wine pairing from the sommelier.
The food was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor, and the pacing of the meal allowed us to truly enjoy the evening.
Blu on the Hudson delivers the kind of experience that reminds you why dining out can be special. My guest and I had a wonderful time, and I look forward to returning.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for an exceptional restaurant on the New Jersey waterfront.

Where do I begin? This place delivered - 5 stars all the way. The food was amazing, the vibe - Euro sexy with a New York edge. Beautiful atmosphere. The bartender Chris - this guy was a class act and really served up the best customer service and best experience we could have asked for. You would think he was the owner - such class act, so much attention to detail - he truly cared. It wasn’t a just a job to him - he made this experience personal, and we enjoyed every moment of it. He made this experience a 10 out of 10 for us and we will be back again and again. We are New York foodies who frequently try all of the hot spots and this was our first time here. We will be back. Thank you so much Chris and staff for a truly amazing experience.

Last night on 03/08/2026 me and a friend attempted to dine at blue on the Hudson for dinner , our reservations were for 10:30 PM we arrived a few minutes late that’s our fault , as we get inside we’re greeted by a door man and he asked us if we have reservations and we tell him yes of course! .. we go inside , we go up to the desk to let them know we have arrived and they tell us to go take a seat someone will be right with us .
About almost 35 minutes goes by we’re waiting and the same door man comes and says to us “ the kitchen is closed are you sure you have a reservation? “ and I could understand why he asked us that because me and my friend we were told to sit and wait and we would be seated almost 35 minutes ago , The door man started starring at us and we felt unwelcomed so we got up and started waking out didn’t ask anything just said ok ! As we’re walking out the SAME DOOR MAN says to me as I’m walking out “ you never had a reservation you are a liar “ I looked at him with such annoyance and walked back inside up to the desk ! I asked the lady was the kitchen closed she said yes , then I proceeded to ask her why did she ( it might not have been the same girl ) why did she tell us to sit down and no one tell us that the kitchen closed in our faces , then I explained to her how the door man called me a liar and was the one to tell us the kitchen is closed ? She then tells me she can sit us immediately and she can talk to the kitchen about food ! But at that point I was so hungry and tired and I felt so disrespected after being called a liar over a reservation,
I’m not saying this to bash anyone because I truly like this restaurant but last night was terrible and there was no one to fix the problem!. Me and my friend left hungry , upset & our feelings hurt and not one person in the restaurant tried to fix the problem.

My wife and I were denied entry to this restaurant solely because she was wearing a hat. The hat was not a fashion choice — it was worn due to a recent medical procedure. We calmly explained this to the manager, yet we were still refused entry.
What makes this worse is that the dress code policy was not clearly stated or communicated beforehand, and enforcement appears to be left to the discretion of the bouncer. This creates an environment that feels biased and inconsiderate, especially toward individuals with legitimate medical needs.
A restaurant should show basic empathy and ensure its policies are transparent and applied fairly. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. For these reasons, I’m giving this establishment one star.
