It was our first time at the restaurant after hearing great things and it absolutely exceeded expectations. My girlfriend and I loved the diversity of the menu and were blown away by the ambiance, service and food. Our waitress Quinn helped greatly improve the experience through her knowledge of the menu as well as her care to our needs. She reassured that my girlfriend and her allergies would be accommodated. She created a safe environment so we can enjoy our meals stress free. She also made terrific recommendations on menu items as well as drinks that pair best with the food we ordered. Between Quinn and the rest of the staff’s terrific service and the amazing menu we cannot wait to come back and dine again.

I choose this restaurant partly for NY view and partly for food quality to celebrate a family event. Their own website describes the view as
"panoramic view of NYC skyline". Imagine you have an apartment a block from the Hudson with a view of the skyline but surrounding buildings reduce your view to the size of a standard (not luxury) window. That's the real view. A big dissapointment and their description is entirely misleading.
I ordered a sushi roll to start the meal and a main course. When the roll never came out, I question the waiter who claimed he never heard me order the roll. Perhaps because the noise level in the main dining room is quite high, making table conversation difficult.
As for the main course, it was tasty and well prepared but no better than you might find in an upscale neighborhood restaurant, except, here, at a much higher price.. In recognition of this experience, the manager comped the bill. It was his decision, , I did not request it. In the end, the evening only cost me $15 for the valet parking. In conclusion; view as described on their website, almost non-existant; food was ok but not at these prices.
Tried a little bit of everything here 👀 Overall a solid experience with beautiful vibes and really friendly service.
🥩 Steak & Frites – 3.5/5
Fries were a bit over-fried so they leaned too crunchy and salty. Steak was okay, but it would’ve been better with less of that heavy black butter crust.
🌮 Nori Tacos – 5/5
Really good — flavorful, balanced, and definitely a must-order.
🧀 Cornbread Cheddar Muffins – 4/5
Cute, warm, comforting. Loved that they serve it hot 😋
🍷 Red Wine Short Ribs – 4/5
Pretty good, but personally I wish they didn’t put eggs on top.
🥞 Ricotta Pancakes – 4/5
Soft and fluffy, enjoyable overall.
🍣 Blu Roll – 3/5
Decent, but could be simpler. The top layer had way too much sauce going on.
✨ Vibes & Space – 5/5
Venue is gorgeous — bright, airy, beautiful interior, and great service.
🚻 Only downside: bathrooms could be cleaner and some chairs have noticeable stains.
Used my Chase Sapphire $150 dining credit here, so that definitely made the experience feel better 😂
Would I come back? Yes — mainly for the vibes and a few standout dishes. Overall, mixed but still enjoyable ⭐️
Where do I start and how do I put this into a review that captures our Christmas dinner experience. It began with Sam setting the time of the evening by helping us get into dinner 2 hours earlier than we thought we would be dining. A table with an incredible view opened up and we were sat. We asked for a fun, spunky, energetic server and Sam delivered us QUINN. The night was a onchestra of sounds, flavors and smiles for the next 3 hours. Her knowledge of the menu and the description of the mouth watering flavors that danced together on each dish made it an easy choice for our palettes. Don't get me wrong, the Waygu Tomahawk, the Delmonico ribeye and the Dover fish were SPECTACULAR, but QUINN stole the show tonight for us. You have a winner here and she should be celebrated with open arms as the go to personification is what every establishment needs, wants and drives for. The knowledge, the smile, the sass and the humility is what makes this dinner one of our highlights of our time in NYC with family. She should be seriously considered as your next trainer as she has done everything way beyond what most servers are even capable of. Keep up the good work and we can't wait to do this again. Merry Merry Christmas

December 19th, 2025 was another great night at Blu on the Hudson I’ve been here before and already loved it, but this time felt completely new because it was my first time sitting in the all-new “Blu room.”
This kind of service honestly changes the whole energy of a night out. It’s rare to get a server who makes you feel genuinely taken care of, while still letting you enjoy your privacy and the moment and that’s exactly what Brandon did for me.
From the second I sat down, he was just on it in the best way. Not in an annoying “checking in every two minutes” way more like he had this effortless awareness of what I might need before I even had to think about it. He checked in at the perfect times, made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it, and somehow made the whole experience feel personal and special, like I wasn’t just another table. You can tell when someone actually loves what they do, and Brandon absolutely has that energy. He made me feel welcomed, cared for, and honestly… kinda spoiled (in the best way). I literally refuse to have any server but him when I visit.
Food-wise, everything hit.
- The special offering of the lobster bisque was pure comfort food; rich, smooth, and full of that deep seafood flavor, but still not too heavy. It was the perfect warm start and felt genuinely luxurious.
- The gnocchi was a standout. Soft, pillowy, cooked perfectly, and the sauce was so good that every bite made you want to keep going.
- The crispy cauliflower: Addictive. I get it as my side every time I visit. Perfect crunch, amazing seasoning, and not just a side dish a real plate you’d come back craving.
Overall, the Blu room made the night feel more intimate and beautiful… but Brandon is what made it memorable. If you’ve been to Blu on the Hudson before and think you already know it, sit in the “Blu room” and if you get Brandon as your server, you’ll understand what “next level” hospitality actually feels like. He’s genuinely the best.
