atmosphere is fine other than the people on the line. IF YOU LIKE CHIPOTLE, SKIP THIS LOCATION BEFORE YOU DISLIKE IT. I have been a fan of chipotle for over 10 years, and i’ve never experience worst customer service than this one. And i’ve worked for chipotle, as well as been to multiple locations in TN, as well as new jersey.
The first time going with my daughter and ordering a kids quesadilla, I asked for plain avocado instead of quac but was denied and told this was not possible. i assume the manage because when saying that was not true, and asking if they have no avocados at all, which they stated they didn’t. He stayed very adamant and refused, doing all while staring at my with an indifferent cold look.
now today, I go back today and left as angry as I did the last time. when checking out I asked for a medium drink. They told me they were out and if I would like to do a large. I said no, it’s too big they explained they were out and this was all they then showed me the size, I said fine then proceeded to charge me for a large even though could clearly see medium cups stocked in the drive thru area. the cashier was confused and being trained from the exact guy from last time, during the drink situation the cashier kept looking at his manager but he did nothing but stare and give an indifferent look.
not only that but the first person in line wasn’t able to take my order, she did not speak english and had to wait for someone to help with the kids plate. at this point i started giving her the order for my bowl in spanish, but was still going to put the wrong things in before the person next to her stopped her.
this place is a chaotic mess, they need to have other general managers come in and do a new training because nobody was listening before the store opened. the chipotle I know and have worked for takes way more pride in their food and customer service than this. It’s a genuinely disappointing experience at this location for so many reasons like disappointing food, empty options, cross contamination, disregard for allergies or accommodations, as well as being lied to and bamboozled over something as simple as refilling cups or grabbing one from elsewhere. Never again.

I literally never write negative reviews on Google or Yelp, but this has to be said: The manager of this location should be fired and the employees should be retrained. This Chipotle location is by far the worst of the ~25 other Chipotle locations I've visited all over Manhattan and NJ. I'm writing now because I recently moved to Wayne NJ and I've visited this location on Hamburg Turnpike many times now. Nearly every visit has been a huge disappointment. The restaurant itself looks nice and new, but the service is slow as molasses compared to all the other Chipotles. The staff seem robotic, unfriendly and completely indifferent to serving customers. The lines in this location regularly wrap all the way around the store at dinner hour, sometimes with 25 to 30 customers waiting. Tonight I came in 2 hours before closing, later than usual to avoid the long wait, and I stood for 3 or 4 minutes silently, patiently waiting with another separate customer for an employee to look up and notice us (we were ready to order) as she was simply wiping down the countertop. She did not look up, so I finally asked "Are you open?" She only looked up, muttered something, and continued to wipe the counter for a couple more minutes. I literally could not believe that she wouldn't put down her rag and prioritize the time and attention of the customers in front of her. This has never happened to me in any other Chipotle location. As we got past the rice, beans and meat and moved on to the toppings, several of the toppings were nearly depleted. The regular salsa was completely depleted (see pic) so I politely asked if there was more, and the same employee said she didn't know, and would probably need to make more. (I.e. discouraging the customer instead of just looking for more.) I asked how long that would take, and finally she asked a colleague in the back, who promptly brought out a fresh batch. Then I got to the drinks station and half the lemonade varieties were completely run dry, and another was nearly finished off (see pic). The whole episode was frustrating, the place is poorly kept and the employees are very poorly trained, and really disrespectful of the customers. (There were five employees there, and most of them were paying zero attention to customers.) Again, the manager of this location should absolutely be fired and the employees should be retrained.

I have been a chipotle customer for over 20 years and this is by far the worst chipotle I have ever been to. Unfortunately I live close by and this should be a convenient dinner option after the gym and a long work day. However, every time I walk in here there is an issue. Tonight, it took 25 minutes to get through the line because there was only 1 employee serving customers and NO cashier. At 7:30pm. There were 6 people ahead of me when I walked in. When I ordered my food, they were out of steak, sour cream, and lettuce. Both of these things are consistent issues at this location. Slow service, not properly staffed, and not properly prepared for service. I’m fed up with leaving here frustrated. There is a clear lack of leadership and direction in this location, when is ownership going to read the long list of negative reviews and make the necessary changes? Management and ownership should be ashamed of how poorly this location is run.

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. The staff was extremely slow and seemed unorganized. I waited in line for about 15 minutes just to get one bowl, which is unacceptable. What made it worse was seeing delivery drivers waiting even longer around 15 to 20 minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff. No one even bothered to ask them for their order number or name.
Overall, the service felt careless and inefficient. This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a Chipotle. I would not recommend this location to anyone, and I definitely won’t be coming back.
