Drivers are paid about $0.20 per mile while delivering, and they rely on tips to make the job worth doing. If someone drives to your place, uses their own car, their own gas, and brings hot food to your door so you don’t have to leave.. a $1 tip isn’t it. A driver told me tonight that a $1 tip “won’t even help with the medical bills” after an accident on the job. Think about that for a second. If you can afford delivery, you can afford to tip the person bringing it to you. It’s basic respect. So quick reminder to everyone ordering near the base.. TIP YOUR DRIVER. Fair winds and following seas.. and throw your driver a few bucks. 🍕
