While you can find small packages of nuts in the baking section and seasonal favorites still in their shell sprinkled throughout produce, the best place to buy large bags of nuts is at the back of the produce section. (Unless you want walnuts, then you'll find the largest bags in the banana display:) The cashiers are very helpful and festive. The large refrigerator section for produce is perpendicular to much of the berries and fruit and tends to become congested as some people browse for veggies while others look at the fruits. Stick to the deli/bakery side of the store if you want to avoid it.
