We checked the happy hour online, and when we arrived, they sat us down at a table. When being served and asked about the happy hour, they told us it was only in the bar section (they should specify that on the happy hour menu). But we weren’t told that from the beginning before sitting down. Of course, we didn’t want to move after setting everything down with a baby. The food was tasteless but okay, didn’t matter again. Before finishing our food, with 2 people still eating at the table, they brought us to-go containers that we didn’t ask for and handed them to one of the people that was still eating. She felt bad and packed everything to go to leave. It felt like they were rushing us, and the place wasn’t even busy. Really bad experience, not coming back.
We have visited this restaurant many times and have likely spent over $2,000, typically dining in groups of four to six. Given the pricing—$50 per adult and $29 for children—we expected a consistent level of service. Unfortunately, this was our worst experience to date.
We chose the all-you-can-eat option, where various meats are brought to the table. However, the service was extremely poor. The waitstaff repeatedly skipped our table, and we constantly had to flag someone down just to be served. In fact, we waited 15 minutes upon being seated and had to ask for a menu ourselves—this should have been an early sign to leave.
At one point, we asked a server carrying shrimp if we could have some before he returned to the kitchen. He told us he would be right back, yet never returned, despite passing our table multiple times afterward. Meanwhile, other tables received attentive and consistent service. We were paying the same price as everyone else, yet were clearly being overlooked.
We eventually spoke with the manager to explain the situation. Rather than addressing the issue in the moment or directing staff to correct the service, he simply told us to inform him on a future visit so he could “take care of us.” This response was disappointing and failed to resolve the immediate problem. We were not asking for complimentary food—only for the service and experience we were paying for.
Due to this experience, they have lost loyal customers. There are many other similar restaurants available, and we will not be returning.

I’m honestly really disappointed with our experience at Paulos BBQ. We came here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday and even made a reservation noting it was a special occasion: birthday. From the start, it felt like that note was completely ignored.
What made it worse was watching the staff go out of their way to sing “Happy Birthday” to a table right next to us, while we were completely overlooked. We dropped multiple hints to our server and staff that it was her birthday, even directly mentioning it again, and still nothing. It felt pretty disrespectful and honestly just awkward.
Service overall was a mess. We were promised items that never even came out, and halfway through the meal our waiter just disappeared. Turns out he went on his break and never came back. We had to flag someone else down and basically restart with a new server.
Between the lack of attention, poor service, and the completely missed birthday acknowledgment, this was not the experience we expected at all. Definitely not coming back.

So, I NEVER leave reviews however the service was so insanely bad I needed to leave one. I am a waitress at my job I understand people get busy however this waiter is the worst one I’ve ever had, I’ve trained 16 year olds better than him. We were having dinner for my birthday and we told the waiter multiple times and it was on the reservation they skipped singing happy birthday and sang it to three separate tables in front of me. Our waiter before we even got our dinner went on break without saying anything to us and never came back we waited for hours for food that was never coming. If you get a waiter with a cross tattoo on his neck, glasses, and short hair you’ll be in my prayers because his service skills are honestly what I would expect from a toddler. We spoke to a manager who could only say “we are sorry you feel that way” feel free to go here if you wish to receive the worst service I’ve ever seen with owners/managers that DO NOT care about their customers. We will never return.

The first time I came to this restaurant was a great experience. I even left a good review but it won’t let me edit my review so I’m going to talk about my experience here. This is my third time here. The second time I came, I came with about eight people and we were upstairs and the service was not great and I just thought it was because we were upstairs. We were constantly waiting for meat rotations and us not having tongs was a constant issue. Today was the third time I came to the restaurant for my sister-in-law’s birthday and this was one of the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had in my entire life. Not only did the two families that came after us get serviced first before us, but our waiter disappeared for his break 30 minutes in. He never came back to apologize or acknowledge us whatsoever. The meat wasn’t rotating well amongst the tables, and we were constantly waiting for meat. There were about three birthdays at this establishment and not once was the birthday girl at our table acknowledged. When my father in law Spoke to the manager, the manager said “ sorry you feel that way” and walked off and didn’t ask us what he could do to make anything better. I am in the entertainment business and I use to work in customer service…. this was not it. A lot of the meats were out of stock and it felt like we were neglected. We will not be returning to this place at all nor will I recommend it……
