  Everything is so goddamn expensive and not worth it in the slightest workers have horrible attitudes they don’t accept the app if I could give none I would I ordered a Apple crumb doughnut that had no Apple in it and a hot coffee that had no flavor everything was $8 just a like yet dough inside no filling

  What follows is my experience with this Dunkin Donuts, told from the perspective of a donut that I was sold, walked away with, raised a concern about, and then THEY TOOK OUT OF MY BAG THAT I TOUCHED AND PLACED BACK INTO THE DONUT CASE. These people should be sited for health code violations and shut down. — I knew I wasn’t the one they wanted. You could see it in his eyes the moment he peered into that paper bag—the flicker of disappointment, the quiet betrayal. He’d dreamed of my French cousins, those delicate, ribbed darlings with their airy interiors and light glaze. Instead, there I sat: dense, humble, ridged like a humble tire of fried dough. My brother wasn’t so lucky. Gone in four bites before the truth came to light. I alone remained to bear witness. The man approached the counter. Words were exchanged. A small piece of paper was consulted—the sacred receipt, arbiter of all donut disputes. And then? The hand descended. I was plucked from the bag. Still warm from his car. Still carrying the memory of his fingertips from when he’d rustled around looking for a napkin. I had been places with this man. And yet. Back I went. Into the glass case. Perched among my untouched brethren as if I hadn’t just returned from the outside world, forever changed. No ceremony. No hesitation. Just a casual return to the lineup, like a library book with someone else’s coffee stain. I sit here now, watching customers point and choose, wondering if they can sense it—the invisible stamp of rejection upon my glaze. I am no longer merely an old-fashioned donut.

  Slow service one person working and she moving slow as if she does not have a line. No one ring up customer and another making the food and without that slows down the time when a lot of people go to work.
