To start off, there’s a Bug 🐞 in my food. I ordered the scramble on top of the whole grain and in the food was some sort of moth or bug which they did replace that dish and reimbursed for it, but that still doesn’t explain why there’s a bug in the food.
Now the aesthetic of the place is very nice very open. The customer service is just OK. We waited a long time for our order to get placed and then also a long time for the check. The coffee and drinks are great, but the food lacks seasoning and it’s just very bland not really much flavor in the food. I don’t think I’m going to be returning, especially when I don’t really like insects in my meals.

incredible customer service, very clean, very welcoming atmosphere, everything came out exactly as ordered and super fast. I asked the a ton of questions ( it was my first time there) and they answered everything very graciously and with a lot of information. Very healthy food, for a great prince!

This was my first experience here and I will never come back. Upon entering, there was a man that seemed to be a customer that got up from a table with a laptop and a bunch of paper work, and greeted us. To our surprise he was meant to wait on us, which it took a few seconds to realize. My mom and I then just stood there and kind of locked eyes with the man for what seemed like way too long and he didn’t even offer us to sit down. We had to tell him we WANTED to sit down; very strange! My mom asked to see a menu and he literally just handed her a menu and had her looking at it standing in the middle of the restaurant. I then said to him “we would like to like sit down and eat”. To which he responded “oh you want to dine in.” Why not ask us that when we first walked in? Better yet why not ask us what brings us in so you know how to properly direct us? It was a very strange first encounter at a place that serves food and beverages.
As someone also stated in a previous review, they only have one person cooking. And only one person waiting on you, so it did take a long time to get our drinks and it took a while to get our food. The food was subpar at best. Two extremely frustrating things then took place, that took our experience from decent to terrible. Firstly, the man that was waiting on us and everyone else was very busy, so he did not hear the bell go off (multiple times mind you), that my food and my mother‘s food was ready. As a result, he didn’t grab the food, instead the man who initially was behind the coffee counter brought us our food. Which unfortunately segues us to the second terrible issue that occurred. The man behind the coffee counter was just coming back out of the kitchen area after carrying a mop in his hand. Immediately getting back on the floor, he was asked by the cook to bring our food to our table. He then proceeds to prepare our plates by getting our condiments ready with his dirty hands, and while holding our plates, thumb hovering over the food he brings them to the table. This was unacceptable and disgusting. I’ve never been to a restaurant where people handled cleaning supplies did not wash their hands and then handled food afterwards.
And of course it did NOT make up for the freezing cold scrambled egg that eventually ended up on my table, as a result of it taking so long for anyone to even bring the eggs to me in the first place. The pancakes I ordered (lemon ricotta) were decent but dry. The amount of syrup they give you for 3 pancakes is laughable and I wasn’t even able to ask for more syrup, because the only man waiting on the entire restaurant was so sidetracked and busy, that I never saw him until after my meal was already done. So again, I will never come here again, and I do not recommend this place to anyone after such a horrible experience. The total I spent for 2 orders of three pancakes (extremely small pancakes), freezing cold, hard & chewy eggs, a macchiato (which was only two espresso shots in a little bit of cream), and a small tea cup of tea came out to $50! This place is a joke. A complete joke. Save your money and your stomach.

Bluestone was a bit disappointing. Location is great with lots of parking and what seems to be a very open feel to the cafe. Very spacious. The tables, seats, and floor were filthy, and you will see why. The staff member was very kind, and that is where we saw things decline - not the staff member, but the lack of staff. We felt bad seeing ONE person manage about 6-7 tables at once, and ONE person as chef. So, as you can imagine, our coffee, pastry, and meal took a very long time. As in, almost 1 hour for a coffee, about an hour and thirty for our pastry, and almost 2 hours for the food. The coffee was good, but nothing out of this world, especially for the price. The pastry (croissant) was definitely delicious. Our wraps were very tasty and fresh, so we will take that as they know their stuff. Would I return? Not really. You cannot run a business with this amount of work on 2 employees and definitely not in such a busy area.
