I tried Gyro Project’s Newark location yesterday. First I will share about food- we love Greek food snd Gyro Project has great options if you want wrap, bowl or salad snd many other lighter options too like dips/pita, bakery items etc. I got the bowl, pita wrap and few other items. The food tasted delicious and fresh. But, I left with such a bad experience from the staff/manager. The service sucks. The way they talked or behaved is just uncalled for. I was very disappointed. Either they need training as to how to serve people or they should be let go.
Btw we have tried Gyro Project in Fort Lee before this location opened up, the staff was beyond amazing both times at Fort Lee. Unfortunately, I would not be going to Newark location. Not worth my time and money.
3 stars are only for the food.

Located in the walkway of the Gateway Center, the Greek version of Chipotle or Qdoba, same concept of pick your protein, pick your veggies, pick your sauces, good stuff, helpful staff, canned Coke products.
(Salmon was extra $, but staff let me know as soon as I asked for it)

After my third visit I am posting a review. This establishment is not organized at all. There is an enormous line during lunchtime so organization is imperative. By the time your order is complete the last employee should know which customer the food belongs too. The falafels should be made continously during lunch time as many people are ordering it. Based on my latest visit I will not be ordering from this restaurant. My order was given to someone else that ordered after me, after waiting on a long line for almost 20 mins. That is just unacceptable. I do not recommend this location in Newark!

Always fresh. Today I tried a rice bowl with salmon , the woman serving was patient with me as she built my bowl. It turned out amazing !
