The rating is based on the price change, doesn't really feel worth it anymore. With an additional limit on toppings, (limit 2) overall raise in price and an extra charge on toppings $18+ for a bowl doesn't feel like a bargain, for that price I can go to the other restaurants at the Gateway.

After Indian, Mediterranean is my second favorite cuisine. What a crazy traffic it was… it actually took me 65 minutes to reach there. And of course, finding parking right in front of Penn Station? I guess I can find God more easily than a parking spot there… I ended up keeping my car on standby — luckily, the guard at the door didn’t mind. I originally planned to dine in, but the parking situation made me pack my food instead. Coming to the food — the place is on the 2nd floor of the building, with really nice décor and ambience. I honestly wish I could have sat down to enjoy my meal there. I ordered the Chicken & Salmon Bowl with fries on the side. the food was awesome! The salmon was the absolute showstopper — perfectly cooked and topped with olives, feta, tzatziki, TGP sauce, Greek slaw, and more. The chicken was good too, but the salmon definitely stole the show. I just wish they had an outlet in Morris County too… all their locations are a bit too far!

Excellent healthy food option at a reasonable downtown price. Tried a Gyro bowl and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the size and taste of the food. Quaint Cafe look to the dining area. Look forward to trying another bowl in the future.

nice new vibrant spot in the gateway building. I was hesitant for a long time to try it , now I can't believe it took me so long. The food here is very savory. Love it. Definitely will be spending more of my lunch hours here.

I tried Gyro Project’s Newark location yesterday. First I will share about food- we love Greek food snd Gyro Project has great options if you want wrap, bowl or salad snd many other lighter options too like dips/pita, bakery items etc. I got the bowl, pita wrap and few other items. The food tasted delicious and fresh. But, I left with such a bad experience from the staff/manager. The service sucks. The way they talked or behaved is just uncalled for. I was very disappointed. Either they need training as to how to serve people or they should be let go. Btw we have tried Gyro Project in Fort Lee before this location opened up, the staff was beyond amazing both times at Fort Lee. Unfortunately, I would not be going to Newark location. Not worth my time and money. 3 stars are only for the food.
