I visited ACME Markets in New Providence, NJ for a regular grocery shopping trip which ended up being a happy discovery. The cashier at the store saw my toddler wearing a dinosaur shirt so he gave us a complimentary cookie which brought happiness to our entire day.
The staff at this store provides better personal service than the larger chain I visited in downtown area. The staff at this store recalled my name during my second visit which seemed impossible for a supermarket to achieve.
The busy parking lot at our arrival did not affect our positive experience because of the fast checkout and friendly service we received during our departure.

Good selection of items in luding fresh produce and bakery. Helpful associates. Decent sales. Conveniently located in a shopping plaza and parking has never been an issue.

Poor customer service. I shop at Acme every two weeks, and whenever I run into this lady with a short hair, who act as if she owns the store at the self-checkout, it’s always a bad experience. She’s rude, not helpful, and honestly seems like she doesn’t even want to be there, and I’d like to refuse any services from her.

I am disgusted with the amount of fruit flies that are hovering over the fruits and vegetables in the Acme in New Providence. I bring these fruit flies into my house and then have to trap them to get rid of them. This week I had to catch seven of the fruit flies. Today I was in the store and the flies were hovering all over the fresh corn. What on Earth is going on? Are they going be charging per pound for the fruit flies soon? It's really disgusting and I wish the management can do something about it. All it would take is some fly strips on your ceiling.
