My wife and I dined here last night and overall had a really great experience. From the moment we walked in, the hostess was warm, welcoming, and set the tone for the evening. Our waitress was absolutely on point—attentive, friendly, and made sure we never needed a thing. The drinks were slam’n 🔥, easily one of the highlights of the night.
Our entrées were tasty and well prepared, and we truly enjoyed most of the food. The only downside for us was the meatball appetizer—it just didn’t hit the mark compared to everything else we had.
That said, great service, solid food, and excellent drinks made for an enjoyable night out. We’d definitely come back and try more from the menu.

I had an amazing evening. I was home for the holidays and took a chance on Monterey. The food was great but the bartender made it totally worth it. Christian made sure we felt welcome and made us feel special. Amazing night. I recommend because of him!

My fiancé visited Monterey Grill on his 57th birthday. Instead of sitting at home alone while I travel, he decided to treat himself to good food, quality wine, and a social atmosphere.
He was hoping for a bit of warmth, connection, or even basic engagement, especially on a milestone day.
Instead, he experienced what felt like clear and repeated disregard. He is a 6 foot 3 inch bald Black man (hard to miss him) and was the only Black patron at the bar. His empty wine glass was ignored multiple times, while the couples seated immediately to his left and right were promptly served, engaged by staff, and offered commentary and suggestions about menu items. This contrast was consistent and noticeable. He silently observed in disbelief as 3 bartenders “over looked” him. Finally, he felt urged to say something when a manager making rounds, asked how he was doing. From their staff was attentive and corrected the issue. Offering all they could to make it better.
No one should feel invisible, especially not on their birthday and especially not while paying to be there. While the food itself was ok, the service and the atmosphere made for a deeply uncomfortable experience.
I am sharing this so other people of color can make informed decisions before choosing to dine here. Service matters just as much as food, and everyone deserves to feel welcomed and respected.

Went to on a whim. Server was great food was fabulous and out of this world. They happened to be having an event in the bar area so music entertainer was great to listen also. The music from bar area did not disturb our meal at all. Only down side, we were too full to try the flambeed key-lime pie and take out didn’t seem right😆
