Mumbai Maskaa in Montclair is the kind of place that doesn’t just feed you — it grabs you by the tastebuds and makes you pay attention. Like… you walk in thinking it’s just another spot, and five minutes later you’re texting people: “BRO. YOU NEED TO COME HERE.”
I’m Indo-American and ridiculously crazy about food — I live for places that feel like a hidden discovery but serve flavors loud enough to stop a whole room. Mumbai Maskaa is THAT hidden gem. Tucked into Montclair like a secret, but the food comes out like it’s trying to win awards.
Now the Indo-Chinese? Absolute flex. This isn’t generic takeout. This is real desi Indo-Chinese — bold garlic, saucy heat, that perfect spicy-tangy balance, and the kind of wok flavor that makes you pause mid-bite like:
“Okay… who is cooking back there?!”
Every bite builds — not greasy, not flat, just straight-up addictive.
And then comes the wow factor lineup:
🔥 Mumbai Mango Mule — MAN… SUPER.
Cold, refreshing, perfectly sweet, and dangerously easy to finish. It’s that mango glow-up drink that cools the spice, refreshes your whole palate, and honestly makes you feel like you just unlocked a cheat code. Must-order.
🍊 Orange Kulfi — the dessert highlight
This was the mic-drop at the end. Creamy, rich, and packed with that bright orange flavor that feels both nostalgic and new at the same time. It’s the kind of dessert that makes you slow down and actually enjoy the last few bites — and then immediately plan to order it again next time. Don’t skip it.
Bottom line: Mumbai Maskaa is a Montclair must-try. It’s a true hidden gem with big flavor energy, a drink that turns heads (Mumbai Mango Mule), and a dessert that finishes the meal like a champion (Orange Kulfi).
Go hungry, go bold, and thank me later.
The food was amazing!! The servers were very nice. We had to wait 20 mins even when we had a reservation. Parking is always full but street parking available at no cost. However, the drawback is the seating for 2 people (there is only 1) because they would take up an entire tables of 4 when that one is occupied which in my opinion it’s not convenient. Ambience was beautiful too. Would highly recommend this place but def come early to get a spot of later after 8:00pm.

This place truly brings authentic Mumbai street food vibes to life! The Pav bhaji is rich, buttery, and bursting with flavor—exactly how it’s meant to be. The tandoori chicken is perfectly cooked, juicy, and well-marinated, and the Indo-Chinese dishes, especially the triple Schezwan fried rice, are a must-try with generous portions and bold taste.
The cutting chai with bun maskaa takes you straight back to Mumbai—comforting, nostalgic, and absolutely spot on. Don’t miss the Orange kulfi—it’s unique, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the meal. Portions are generous, flavors are authentic, and the chill vibe with friendly service makes this place a standout.
Highly recommended for anyone craving real Mumbai street food, from snacks to desserts!
Ordered Triple Schezwan Fried rice and Chili chicken for a takeout..Overall the triple fried rice was good and the gravy that came with it was actually really good but the Chili chicken was not so good tasted like stale not fresh looks like they fried the chicken pieces beforehand to save time...I felt like should have ordered more gravy with the chicken instead of chili chicken😐
The ambience and service was fine..
Ordered the paneer makhani, bright flavorfull sauce with big tender chunks of cheese. The tandoori lamb chops were beautifully seasoned, charred, tender and cooked to med and medium rare, just perfect. There was complimentary corn/pea soup that was garlicky and warming. The samosas were delightfully spiced so no tamarind based sauce was needed, and absolutely non greasy! A delightful meal and parking available. Service was attentive👍🏻
