  I have eaten here many times and was always happy with the service but today the service was incredibly poor. We sat at our table and waited ten minutes before we were given menus and we had to ask for them. Then it took another five minutes to get water after we asked twice. After the food came the server brought our daughter a sugary mango drink that we didn’t order. We said no thank you but she kept insisting. We waited at least five minutes for the bill again after asking twice. We are disappointed that this great restaurant has gone downhill.

  I grew up within minutes of the real brick lane in london's bethnal green and this place is legit! Well truth is, it is much better than 95% of places on brick lane! I had the lamb jalfrezi which was perfectly spiced with jammy tomato sauce. My husband has a saag that was also delicious. The servers seem to care so much about our enjoyment (also very un-British!). Will def go back.

  The food was delicious and the menu has so many options to choose from. Authentic Indian food with family style meals. The service is quite slow and they weren’t prepared for the rush of people. We went on a Wednesday and make a reservation. The dining area is small. I ordered the chicken biryani and the chicken was moist. Slightly spicy, and they can adjust the level of spice if you ask. The other dish is paneer (tofu) tikka masala with naan. They provide small bites as an appetizer with dipping sauces

  Brick Lane Curry House in Montclair is one of my absolute favorite places. I have been coming here with my friends for years, and we always have such a great experience. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it is always a spot we are excited to come back to. This visit felt even more special because of our server, Hafsah A. She was truly amazing and made our whole experience unforgettable. She was so attentive, kind, and welcoming, and you could really tell she cared about making sure we had the best time. Her recommendations were excellent, and everything she suggested was absolutely delicious. She went above and beyond to take such great care of us, and it honestly made the day that much better. Brick Lane Curry House is already a wonderful restaurant, but Hafsah’s service took it to another level. We will definitely keep coming back, and I really hope we get her again. She is a true gem.
