  here to leave my THIRD bad review for this place. it’s a shame i have to do this to a business multiple times. on my most recent visit here, i went to pick up a gift (cupcakes) for my father’s birthday. it was supposed to be a surprise. i have been coming to this supermarket for years because it is the closest grocery store to our house so it is convenient, however that doesn’t mean we deserve to be subjected to poor treatment. so i enter the store as i have in the past, and i have been vaping for years. i know that on some occasions ive been in their store, in the aisle looking at an item, and ive hit my vape. it’s a bad habit, its not ever intentional or planned. however, in the past no one has EVER said anything to me about it. today however was different for some reason. one of the owners of the store saw me hit my vape and called me “ma’am” (even though he’s known me for years and knows my name) and he proceeded to tell me not to vape or to leave. so since this was the first time anything has ever been said to me about it i was taken aback. i stood there and said i’ve been coming here for years, spending my money in here, you’re gonna talk to me like that over a vape? he says if there’s a problem the door is right there. and then i tell him, i’m not here for me i’m here for my dad (it’s his birthday) and he tells me “well tell your dad to come in here then.” it was just all around disrespect, all over a vape. he knows my father as well. he knows my whole family because we’ve been coming there for years so to treat me that way over something so insignificant, was shocking. i repeated the fact that i’ve been coming there for years and that it’s just a vape so i don’t deserve to be treated that way. he got silent. when i went to the register the cashier asked how my visit was. and i told her it was unpleasant because ive been coming here for years and im always treated some type of way. the last time i had to leave a bad review because they asked me for my purse when i entered the store. when they had NEVER done that before and hasn’t done it since i complained about it. it’s just an unpleasant experience shopping here. my family and i come here out of necessity, not because we want to, but because we need to. some other stores either don’t sell what we are looking for or are too far. so we come to “c-town” which is actually fine fare they just had to rebrand due to “issues” the whole place is a red flag. and i’m over it. i didn’t deserve the treatment i received during my previous visit. the man was acting as if i lit a cigarette in his store. sorry for the long review but to make a long story short, i didn’t even get the rest of my items during my visit because he turned me off from shopping in the store. i got the cupcakes for my father and left. i know now to not give them any more of my money. just last week i spent $101 in there. they are getting a good amount of my money to treat me poorly? no. i’ll limit my visits to their store and when my family goes ill make sure they’re aware of who exactly it was that bothered me. thank you for reading if you’ve read this far. please do not spend your money at this store. they sell expired produce, i’ve purchased things from them and it’s been expired as soon as i’ve taken it home. their stuff is not fresh, they make their own expiration date tickets and just change the date on the items. don’t waste your money, go to shoprite or walmart. that’s all , thank you .

  They tell you in order to use your debit or credit card that there is a $10 spending limit in order to use it. That is illegal there is no such thing. If I want to use my card on a $3 item I will just like everywhere else. And anyone charging you a fee to just use your card that is also illegal and should report it to the company so could shut down their card scanners.

  I like C Town for the selection even if the prices are like a bodega mostly. They do have some good deals but you have to join their rewards. Clean for a store on westside ave.

  Prices sucks and they don't swap out expired products. Generally, a sucky market but it teaches a valuable lesson; don't just pick up anything and expect it to be legit... Evaluate everything you buy and or obtain.
