- AAAnton AntonNov 8, 20251.0This morning I went to this store (located in NJ 07306) with my French Bulldog, who is a service dog trained to assist me during panic attacks. The store staff refused to let me in, claiming that it is “not a public place” and that I must leave the premises. This behavior constitutes discrimination based on disability and is a violation of the federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as New Jersey state law. Service dogs are legally allowed to accompany their handlers in all public areas, including stores, cafés, and pharmacies. I recorded the incident on video and will be filing formal complaints with the proper authorities. It is truly disappointing that in 2025, people with disabilities are still being treated this way. I sincerely hope the store management educates its employees about ADA requirements and the rights of individuals with service animals.
