Head to our Hoboken ice cream shop and dig into any of our euphoric Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavors in the way the first scoops were served up by Ben and Jerry back in 1978. Come enjoy a freshly baked waffle cone, shake or sundae with your favorite flavors.
Where do I even begin?
It was a nice spring day and I decided to treat myself to ice cream with my good friend Nancy, after a long day at work. Immediately as soon as I entered this establishment I was BARELY greeted by a young teenage girl with cherry reddish hair with a weak “Welcome.” When my friend was trying to clarify a menu item, the employee was extremely dismissive and rude towards my friend. I also noticed that as the Uber Eats drivers entered she was yelling at them that they were out of stock of a lot of flavors, as if it was their fault, and basically chasing them out the store.
The first scoop of despair–Marshmallow Sky. The ice cream itself was great, but her attitude when serving it was just the opposite.
The second scoop of agony–Half Baked. She gave me a scoop that was significantly smaller than the last one when they always give me a good portion when I usually stop by.
Finally, when it was time to pay, she rudely told me to go to another register because the one I was at was busy. The tone was sharp and unnecessary, making what should have been a simple transaction feel like a chore.
I left feeling that the quality of service didn’t match the quality of the ice cream. Friendly, respectful customer service is as important as the product itself, and sadly, this visit missed the mark.

I was helped by a lovely employee named Ingrid who was so kind, welcoming, and extremely helpful. She made my Ben and Jerry’s experience wonderful and unforgettable.

I couldn't believe the size of the scoop of ice cream my daughter received. I just couldn't wrap my mind around paying nearly $7 for what I found out was called a mini - a kids cup. I asked for one scoop of ice cream. It was tiny, it was laughable size. the scoop didn't touch the sides of the small cup and didn't even mount over the cup. l wish I took a picture because it was maybe a little bigger then a golf ball size.
I get inflation and hoboken commericial rents are ridiculous but this, paying more for less, not my cup of tea. It felt like the store was shrinkflation or product downsizing with the high prices.
I have lived around and been going to hoboken for 20+ years. I used to stop by here all the time with my 4 kids. Back then prices were about $5 for a kids size but at least the scoop was generous. I know the poor girl had to listen to me just try to wrap my mind around the size of the scoop for the price. I do not find it good business to downsize product when cost is so high. And so many homemade ice cream shops in Hoboken to choose from. I will not be going back.
