We visit this place from time to time when missing food back home and it does not disappoint. Authentic Nepali taste, with a great balance of flavors and spiciness. It is one of the very few proper Nepali restaurants in Bergen county.
A special shout-out to the staff as well who make you feel right at home. They are very friendly and welcoming.
I must admit I have not tried most of the menu because I always end up ordering momo (if you are a Nepali, you know).
However, the thali set and appetizers are pretty good too.
If you are looking to taste authentic Nepali food in NJ, give this place a shot.

Love this place! The food is so good and authentic. The staff are friendly, warm, and always welcoming. My husband and I often go there, especially when we miss home. A good Nepali thali for me and jhol momo for my husband are exactly what we need.

Me and my mom decided to pick up some dinner here and we were amazed! The lady who runs the restaurant is so sweet and was super willing to answer questions about the menu. We got the Himalayan style chicken curry, garlic naan, and the dried noodles (I forgot what they were called on the menu). We asked for very spicy and they delivered! I thought the spice was absolutely perfect but my very white mother was struggling a bit. Still, the flavor was amazing and we will be back soon! I personally really recommend the dried noodles. Such a great atmosphere and definitely a hidden gem! 💕
I recently visited Himalaya On Heights, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The restaurant beautifully captures the authentic flavors of Himalayan and Nepali cuisine, with every dish prepared fresh, flavorful, and full of rich traditional spices.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place for both family dinners and casual outings with friends. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about sharing their culture through food, which makes the dining experience even more special.
One of the highlights is the variety on the menu—from delicious handmade momos and comforting curries that perfectly complements the meal. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the overall quality is outstanding.
If you’re looking for authentic Nepali taste, great service, and a cozy dining environment, Himalaya On Heights is definitely a must-visit. I highly recommend it and will absolutely be coming back again!
The food wasnt that good to be honest had chicken chilly and jhol momo where both of them were below average.. The jhol was not how it should have tasted. I would recommend changing jhol flavor add nuts and cashews to enchance the thickness of the jhol. Pani puri was decent. No complains on that. Other than that it was good.
