  Went there for date night. Had a great time. Place is beautiful. The food was delicious and had a great server. Jose did a fantastic job. He was in top of the food and drinks. At one point he jumped behind the bar and madey drink when he saw it was taking a bit of time as the place was packed. I suggest making a reservation especially weekends and Fridays or else you might be waiting. I recommend this place. Best part was seeing the managers walking around talking to the patrons and also helping staff. Fantastic restaurants always have a manager who helps the staff working. Go and enjoy some delicious food and a beautiful location.

  had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully maintained. The ambiance struck the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable, making it ideal for both special occasions and a relaxed night out. The food was outstanding — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully presented. You can truly tell that care goes into both the ingredients and the preparation. Each course exceeded expectations. What truly made the evening exceptional, however, was the service. Jonathan and Rolando are absolutely amazing servers. They were attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered fantastic recommendations. Their professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience. They made us feel welcomed, valued, and well taken care of throughout the night. Overall, this restaurant delivers on every level — food, atmosphere, and service. I highly recommend dining here and will definitely be returning. Ask for Jonathan and Rolando — you won’t be disappointed!

  I visited Mambo in Harrison for a midday lunch to try their lunch specials. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely uncomfortable. If you are African-American RUN FROM THIS PLACE: From the moment I received my food, I was stared at continuously by multiple staff members. Not the occasional glance — persistent, lingering looks that made it clear I was not welcome. As a 41-year-old African-American man simply trying to enjoy a quiet lunch, the atmosphere felt tense and hostile. There was no hospitality. No warmth. Just a constant sense of being watched and judged. It’s difficult to describe the racial undertone without having lived it, but it was palpable. I genuinely felt like my presence alone was a problem. If management noticed, they did nothing to change the environment — and in fact seemed to contribute to it. No one should feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in a restaurant because of who they are. I hope ownership takes a serious look at the culture inside their establishment. Until then, I cannot recommend this place — especially to people of color who simply want to enjoy a meal without feeling scrutinized. My bill was like 46$ i still tipped the waitress 50$ which was more than my bill of food i didn't/couldn't trust to eat, and gave her kind words for being the inly one to at least play a role. I will be also taking this to the Bbb but this particular location isnt listed there yet. (No problem just have to call them instead of fill out online form)

  I recently dined at Mambo’s and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. Our waiter, Jonathan, was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He went above and beyond to accommodate my wife’s vegan preferences, offering thoughtful alternatives and ensuring she had great options to choose from. His attentiveness and familiarity with the dishes truly enhanced our dining experience. The drinks were amazing—perfectly balanced and expertly prepared. The entire staff, from the servers to the hostess, were warm and welcoming, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and the lighting sets just the right mood for an enjoyable meal. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. I had the Mofongo with roast pork and grilled shrimp, which was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the vegetarian Mofongo with white rice and black beans, and she was equally impressed. Overall, everything exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for excellent food, drinks, and service. 10/10.

  Mambo in Newark is truly a gem. From the moment we walked in (without a reservation) the energy, ambiance, and service were exceptional. Jorge, Anna, and Leelee went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. The drinks were AMAZZZNG.They were attentive, warm, professional, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Their attention to detail and positive attitudes elevated the entire evening. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. You can tell EVERYONE takes pride in both the cuisine and the customer experience. If you’re looking for amazing service and a memorable dining experience in Newark, Mambo is the place to go. Highly recommend!
