  I am directly from this area and have passed it many times not even noticing or seeing it. One of my friends told me about it. I ordered on line take out platters. It was New Year's Eve so it seemed very crowded but everyone working there was so kind, organized efficient and fast. No easy task but they did it. I ordered the potatoe salad, fish and pork ribs along with collard greens, Mac and cheese and the cabbage. It's truly like having home cooked delicious food without the effort or clean up. They do have an eat in area which I will be eventually enjoying an eat in meal at some point. The dining area is neat clean and attractive. The parking is street parking but not crazy and still manageable to find decent parking,even in this busy pre holiday time. I was in a hurry and just wanted to get my food and go which I did picking up my accurate on line pre order that was ready in time but I will definitely be returning and recommending to others.

  Definitely was pleased with everything overall and Aunt Bertha came out and sat and talked with us. A great choice and we are now regulars. We got a little bit of everything. Chitlins were good and very clean, my one daughter loved the honey hot chicken, the baked Mac and cheese reminded me of what I was use to from my loved ones passed and Shonda's customer service was top tier.

  OH. MY. GOSH. When I tell you this food is all THAT? Yesterday was my third time eating at this location and EVERY single time I have been nothing but satisfied. I almost couldnt drive home it was so good (I sat in the dining room to eat).Im a southern girl at heart and the food here reminds me of back home! I wanted to take a pic of my food, but I was so hungry that it got demolished before I was able to!! I told myself that I have to leave a review this time because the food is just that good and the prices are great for the portion sizes you get. Its always packed every time I go, but the workers work together and move quickly to get everyone served! Theres specifically a lady plating the food at the end and you can tell she loves where she works and serving the community! This will be my forever go to spot for a quick meal or a homecooked sunday dinner! Feels like home ❤️

  This my 1st time ordering from here . It looked like the MAC & chez was a bit burnt and they scraped the bottom burnt part and sold it to me on me and my 8 y/o daughter platter .The cabbage was from yesterday and my 8 y/o can season and cook chicken better then these professionals . I do not recommend this food to no one .

  I was a new customer so I didn't feel welcome only because everything I ask for they didn't have it . Especially cornbread wasn't up yet and that's what I mean about Black own restaurant they never have things ready or they run out but when I saw them Bring the corn bread up, sje said she can't cut it because it's still hot and then ske made a remark to her coworker about it thoughtni didn't hear her anyway I be back with a taste review. I did get the lunch special After we waited so long because it wasn't up Yet but when I got it it was salty and bland and the peach cobbler mine and my husband was watery full of water another customer wrote a review about their peach having water in it so overall I will never eat their again point blank
