At 1:30 one of the security guards walks up to us and says someone accused us of throwing up in the bathroom and then said he was throwing us out. Mind you we had had 2-3 drinks each over a 3 hour span, and were nowhere near even tipsy, let alone sloppy. When I asked to speak to the “employee” who accused us they refused to even acknowledge me. This was my first experience at the hive and all I can say is that I was treated like I had just caused a fight with the manner in which we were thrown out. On top of that we told the bartender TWICE that we were finished with drinks and she then rolled her eyes and threw more drinks at us. Don’t give these people your money! There are many other bars in Garfield that would treat someone who is blacked out with more respect than we were given.

The DJ was great (I'm really picky about DJs so this is a huge compliment), and the drinks were heavy poured which is wonderful. We mainly came to have a fun dinner with friends and we left disappointed. We ordered 4/5 appetizers, I don't remember. They didn't have one of the apps we wanted so we had to switch it. The appetizers came to the table very spread out. Like sitting there 30 minutes still waiting for one of our appetizers? Maybe we were wrong to anticipate normal service times because it is largely a bar, but it's also a restaurant that serves food. It seemed as if the mains were also cooked for our party one at a time. It took a while for everyone in our party to be served. What really gets me is that I ordered something that I love. I love salmon and I love brussel sprouts. It's hard for somewhere to screw it up so badly that I don't want it, but I could not eat it. Either the cut was cheap or it was an older piece of fish, or they don't know how to cook it. Whatever the issue was, it was not enjoyable and I couldnt continue after a few bites. 3 stars for the environment, DJ, and the heavy pour. 0 stars for food.
