I frequently visit this location, and have learned to enjoy it's little perks, unfortunately there aren't many. The staff is usually very friendly, and helpful for the most part, the layout of items in the store, while slightly frustrating, are nevertheless organized in a way that you CAN find what you need. The cleanliness of the location is also not so bad, messes are cleaned up promptly, and the staff is quick to act. My issues with this location are as follows:
- The carts. They are ancient, and if they aren't then they move like they are. Rusted at the wheels, locking while still inside the store, becoming a cardio workout just to detach the cart and take one into the store. Additionally, when you do find one that is 'usable' once you add weight to it, it starts pulling to the left so much so that one can actually injure their wrists pretty badly by just trying to push one.
-The entrances. There are 2 main entrances to this location. Periodically, one will be closed for WHATEVER REASON and this action will corral all of the homeless population in the area to the one available entrance, making it uncomfortable to enter and exit this location. With seemingly no notification, or reasoning, one entrance will be closed well before the store's last operating hour, so if you parked your car in anticipation to avoid the 'homeless door', you may end up being forced by the store to get berated by them anyway, because it is the only available entryway.
- The Robot thing. Why is it here? How does it help? It's creepy, and in the way at all times. It needs to GO.
- The parking lot. It's a mess, and I'm not exactly sure why. Lines are painted, and clearly visible, but the layout seems a bit... much... The carts aren't a problem for the cars very much since they're usually too stiff or just plain stuck but I'm not sure, maybe its the locals, and their driving habits.
All in all, neither of these issues is a huge issue for me. However they represent the experiences I've shared at this location, and maybe once improved can make this location much more preferable. For example, if there's going to be homeless there as frequent as it is, why not employ them to collect carts or sweep around for a meal? Just a thought.

I shopped at this Stop & Shop on 3/11/26 and experienced the most disrespect any should ever experience while shopping. I’m a 20+ year customer of THIS Stop & Shop, and felt nothing but disrespect from cashier “RUTH” on this day. RUTH was disrespectful from beginning til the end with me, and the more I didn’t respond, the more her disrespect became. This cashier “RUTH” has no professionalism and has no respect for shopping, paying customers. RUTH WAS SO DISRESPECTFUL she even, loudly ANNOUNCED my(untrue) financial balances at the register for all to hear. I now feel I have to do all I can to avoid this disrespectful cashier “if” I ever return to this store, EVER!
I highly doubt I’ll ever return as a customer to this place, although manager Kenny was very helpful in this situation. RUTH is a killer to this business and training won’t help with her, and her disrespect for customers. I will definitely be taking my 20+ year business elsewhere and my experience WILL BE SHARED verbally as well amongst friends and family, to insure avoidance of this person and business in the future. Stop & Shop should be shameful to have RUTH as any part of any representation of their brand or company as a whole, IN ANY WAY!
