Pretty good Supermarket, produce and fruit aren’t bad. Do check the expiration dates on the meats for sometimes the meat looks questionable in color ,but honestly can’t complain much since they close at midnight. It’s a good place for after work grocery shopping

Serious Health Violation – Enough Edgewater, NJ! Only when absolutely desperate will I shop at the Edgewater, NJ location. Over the years I’ve repeatedly found outdated items, including expired baby food, which I’ve taken off the shelf to the service desk so no one would purchase the items. Today was the last straw. Around 1:00 PM, (11/17) while checking out, I watched a woman walk through the store with her pet ferret inside a shopping cart. Yes, she had some fabric in the bottom of the cart; it did not fully cover the cart and it is illegal to do so. Food goes into those carts, and having a loose animal in one is a serious health-code issue. More shocking was the staff response: no employee said a word. There were some eye-rolls, but no one protected the other consumers. Does anyone care? In fact, one employee actually struck up a friendly conversation in the dairy aisle with the customer and asked what the ferret eats. Are they not trained to know this is a health hazard? Even well-trained ferrets may occasionally miss their box, so be prepared to clean up accidents, especially when they are out of their cage and playing. If anyone questions this, check the security footage — the checkout lane the customer used was right next to self-checkout. This store seriously needs to take health and safety standards more seriously. It's a sad environment to shop in. Where is NJ Department of Health, they need a random inspection by a REHS. ACME - DO BETTER!

I shop in Edgewater often. Usually in the morning. I was there between 4:30 & 5:30 today. There was a dog in a sweater walking after it's owner WITHOUT a leash and nobody said a word. First of all it should have been on a leash. Another dog came in in a stroller and nobody said a word. Neither of these dogs had service dog attire. Don't make rules if you can't keep them. I'm bringing my parrot next time.

I visit this Edgewater location often. As far as food quality is concerned, it's a gamble. Sometimes the vegetables are fresh, and other times they have been frozen, and when I open them up at home, they are spoiled—specifically with mangos and avocados. As far as customer service is concerned, today a cashier named Marie helped me, and her attitude was atrocious. She never greeted me or the customer before me. She just scans the food and doesn't even tell you the total; she just glared at me until I entered my customer number and paid for the groceries. I then packed my own groceries, and she just stared at me; it made me feel sad how angry she was and how she acted as if I annoyed her. If you are looking for a place that makes you feel like part of a community, this is not for you.

It closes at midnight. Has pretty much everything you want. They have hot and cold food also. Staff are really nice. Nice deals and an app to clip coupons. It's one of my go to places to food shop.
