  Best Indian food around here. Very delicious and balanced spice. Never disappointed with both dine in and take out. The atmosphere at the restaurant is very nice, clean and calm. Oh I also ordered for catering and it was fantastic, very generous amount of food came. Highly recommended.

  Was attempting to set up an event at this venue. Ended up being constantly disrespected by the staff when they started to have issues with the terms of agreement that the planners had sent over, which they had agreed to initially and decided to go against later on. They likely did not read the terms of agreement, agreed to it at first and then read it later. They went as far as to call the planners cheap and being disrespectful, even though they were trying to accommodate as much as possible to make the event still be profitable for this venue. Avoid this place if you are trying to set up any sort of event. They will consider you to be distrustful even when you are trying to be as honest as possible. Their responses, as shown in the other reviews below, are all provided using AI because they don't care to take the time to interact with their customers. EDIT: See below for an example of the manager's level of respect. We intended to cover any infants who were going to be at the party by paying for them as being adults.

  This review is based on communication with the owner Nadir Gillani, not the food or restaurant staff. I was trying to plan a group event at this venue. The owner was rude, condescending, and insulting to me, after he made an error and did not want to honor agreed upon terms. He has very poor communication skills and does not take accountability for his mistakes. If you plan an event with him, make sure to get everything in writing in very clear and plain language.

  While we have always enjoyed the food this time was not good at all. The methi malai mutter was good but the Baingan bharta was literally a boiled egg plant with raw tomatoes and no spice added to it all. It seemed like they rushed to make that and get it out

  Mauka is a hidden gem in New Jersey! From the moment you walk in, the ambience strikes the perfect balance between modern chic and cozy comfort. The staff are incredibly courteous and attentive, making the entire dining experience feel seamless. The food, however, is the real star. The Butter Chicken is velvety and rich, while the Kadhai Paneer has the perfect kick of spice and fresh bell peppers. You can tell everything is prepared with high-quality ingredients. A special shoutout to the restaurant manager, Mr. Sharma. He is such a jolly person and his passion for authentic flavors is evident; he clearly has a deep knowledge of how true Indian food should taste. We’ll definitely be back!
