  This location has been noticeably going downhill. However, I don't know if it is a location thing or a business thing, because my friends in North Brunswick and Edison have been complaining about their Stop and Shops too. This location in particular will barely have produce or essentials stocked, have expired food stocked instead, and have broken refrigerators and freezers. The nail in the coffin is that they no longer sell my microgreens!! On our last visit, they had no milk because the refrigerators appeared broken. Very sad. This Stop & Shop is our most convenient supermarket to shop at, but it has become increasingly unreliable. It's reminding me of the supermarket in New Brunswick, SuperFresh, before it went out of business. 2 stars for never having a bad encounter with the staff.

  Yesterday I went to the east brunswick stop and shop in the middle of the afternoon, and used the cashier to check out all my items. The cashier was fairly new, very chatty and didn't pay attention when she was ringing up all my items. I put 3 loose pieces of celery ribs the sign showed the cost is .99/1b. When I got home and looked at my receipt, I was charged for a full order of celery for $2.49! The whole idea was to just buy three loose pieces that's all I needed.And yet the cashier, all she'd do is complain about how she couldn't get a job at shoprite, and that's this is the only place that hired her and never even paid attention.And overcharged me. Pretty disappointing when I got home and also her rudeness wasn't any better. Her name was Paoloa, she talked too much complained and didn't pay attention.I hope she gets better at it. I told her at the end.The store is always quiet because it's so expensive.So no one really goes there.The only reason why I go there is they have certain items.I need that I can't get at other stores... Very disappointed cause I was very excited when I saw that.This is something new that they're doing.You can buy a couple of loose pieces of carats or celery ribs for perhaps a recipe.I thought it was the greatest idea yet.I still paid the full amount because of our unprofessionalness.
